Has anyone heard anything for Shrewsbury? Passed my testing in August 2025 but still not DMI!!

I keep seeing other depots come up and I haven’t applied because they don’t like you to apply to more than one depot but then I’m getting frustrated when seeing people getting DMIs for other depots not long after their testing

From what I’ve read on here, the average from application to job offer can be 9-12 months. Have you tried emailing wmt recruitment for an update?

Is anyone booked in and waiting to attend their DMI?

Also regarding the medical, do they stipulate what values/ parameters are required to pass they eye test?

Hi, applied for Crewe depot and pleased to say I've been invited to the stage 1 OPC test. Email said they will send practise materials separately but still haven't recieved them, how long does it normally take to get the practise materials?

Should get them at least a week before stage 1. Maybe 10 days

I did both sets of assessments in October for Shrewsbury and not heard anything either, glad it's not just me that hasn't heard yet but the wait is definitely getting frustrating..

Sounds like a stupid question but is there a dress code when attending the OPC assessment?

I'd like to wear something comfortable, eg, jeans/trainers etc but not sure if it's frowned on

Does anyone know what the stage 2 tests are? I got my email last week that because I’d already passed stage 1 with TFW a few years ago I was going straight to stage 2 in Watford.

Booked my space for the first week of June, so for the guys that pass their stage 1 I’m guessing they plan to do stage 2 tests the first week of June. This was for the Crewe depo

Thanks!

If there is anyone on this group that has already started their training or is due to start the training . Do you know what the hours are for the first 4 months. Is it 8 to 4?

I start on the 27th of April, our first 2 day induction in Birmingham is 09:00-16:30, then I think it’s 08:30-16:00 but I’ve read most trainers in the classroom period try to get you out a bit earlier because the days are quite heavy.

Thank you for this. I remember you saying it's two days in Birmingham. Where are you after that then. I thought the classroom stuff for 4 months or so was in Birmingham

Because we’re based out of Bletchley depot it’s split between Northampton and Bletchley after the initial induction I’m not sure if there might be some simulator days in Birmingham but when we’ve done the induction and find out some more about the structure of the course I’ll put a message in here :)

Good luck with your DMI! In my interview they said they’re running quite a lot of courses through the whole year :)

I’m in the same boat waiting for DMI for Cov. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long. Good luck when it comes.
