A train was booked to pass the station at 11:31, a 10-car Networker, but it stopped at the station and several Southeastern staff stepped out of the train holding pieces of paper with a large number on them, from 1 to 10.

The staff then proceeded to shut the door they came out of and walk forwards towards the other unopened door of the carriage and entering the train again.

This whole thing took around 3 minutes, and then the train promptly left.

What on earth did I just witness?

Looks like (from the RTT output) it did a similar thing at other stations, but missed out its St. John's stop ('twas ever thus!).

Unless it was something for a social media post or anything along those lines? Doesn't seem likely, though

Definitely checking alignment of the DOO cameras. Done periodically - not sure how regularly - at all stations.
