Such a shame to the way BVE has largely become irrelevant.

It has so much potential.

Who knows? Maybe Tom Beevers had it or not. As right now is unkown...

Again, maybe, maybe not...

Remember, most of the early BVE developers have long since moved on, it's been almost 20 years since the earlier routes were made and 10 years since BVE had a meaningful user base.

It's a real shame, I used to develop routes and trains myself and still have some unreleased add-ons on a USB stick, but given the lack of users now, it's not worth the effort in setting up somewhere to host them.

this guy was looking for it in 2012 and seems to think it vanished five years earlier, so if he was right the chances look slim

Hi everyone,

I've been looking for the Beck and Kings Lines, two fictional London-based BVE routes that went extinct about 5 years ago. You can view information pages for the Beck Line and the Kings Line here:

Beck Line
Kings Line

I've found Phase 0 of the Beck Line (it runs from Holborn to Elephant & Castle) from a friend, and if you want to try it, the link is on London BVE Tube, but the internal beta of Phase 1(a) was never released and has been gathering dust for 5 years with the select developers it was sent out to (and whoever else they may have sent it out to, which is why I'm inquiring here). I've e-mailed most of them and am awaiting replies, but I'm missing contact info for James Roberts and David McCormick. So, in short, if anyone has these files or contact information for these three developers/ex-developers, it would be a great help to me. Perhaps e-mail addresses should be PM'ed to me to protect the privacy of the person.

It's a long shot but if that old forum still works he may have some newer insight

I see you've asked on BVE-Terminus too, if no one on there has it then you're out of luck I'm afraid.

I have considered setting up a BVE Library on something like Google Drive where old add-ons can be uploaded and shared, but BVE developers can be very precious about where their content ends up, which IMO was the main downfall of BVE.

Without wanting to go around in circles, as I said, it's a 20 year old route that is going to look very basic compared to what is available today, I'm not sure there will be many people that are interested in it.
