Can anybody offer some help please... the delay repay section of scotrail.com, and specifically mTickets, doesn't appear to offer this option. Either a collection ref, scan of a paper ticket, or a barcode is needed.

TIA

I've had the same in the past when I used to use Transport For Wales M-tickets. I used to take a screen snip of the email confirmation and upload that.

(edit: the snips included the price and date, and service if it was an advance)

unfortunately too late. i've asked Scotrail via X and they said similar.. it's like they have know idea how mTickets work. They deactivate and then no bar codes exist. The non bar code option asks for scans of paper tickets... and around I go....

You’d have the same issue if you used ScotRail Tap & Pay, the generated Aztec code cannot be screenshotted it just returns a blank image - although the charged amount for the journey will confirm start and end points and timing for a claim. As it happens, so far I’ve never been delayed using it!

It's been a while since I had any m-tickets but I'm sure it "deactivated" by greying out, but was still visible, just a lower contrast.

I always understood that, if an app uses mTickets, it must offer an option to generate a delay repay barcode.

I don't think Trainline (and their whitelabel apps, like ScotRail) bother with that, though. Very customer friendly.

The ScotRail Delay Repay flow does provide instructions for Tap & Pay customers, unlike m-tickets.

Screenshot of ScotRail's Delay Repay claim page, with a header stating If you are a Tap & Pay customer, please select 'My ticket does NOT have a barcode'.

I had the same problem. M-ticket had expired and needed to do delay-repay with Southern.

I downloaded my expenses receipt from my ScotRail account and it was accepted.

So maybe try that?

Update..

A reply from Scotrail via X

Open the Scotrail app and at the bottom click "My tickets" > "Expired" tab > select ticket > click "view tickdts" > click on "ticket" tab and take a screenshot of that for upload, which will be accepted

I've just checked the ScotRail app and it doesn't deactivate screenshots at all for me - even active tickets.
