Hello everyone

I was just wondering if anyone knew the situation regarding getting people to Exeter for the footy game on the 24th. (e.g Foot-ex charters)

Thanks in advance for any info

Cheers

I don't think there will the numbers for one, Exeter's ground is quite small and I suspect that a lot of SW based Liverpool fans will be going instead of actual Liverpudlians (remember that the Premier league is full of glory hunting fans from across the UK rather than local supporters you get in the Lower leagues). If it had been the other way round I expect Flybe would have run a few special flights (Flybe are Exeter's sponsor)

I'm not looking forward to it, I live close to St James's Park.

Only some are glory hunters! I'm a liverpool Fan even though i don't live in Liverpool. My first shirt was when we had candy as sponsors as a child, and my family live in liverpool, and Liverpool is within the family. But as a general rule i do follow my local teams. i.e hereford and cheltenham. went to hereford vs tranmere in the fa cup a few years ago.

Liverpool will get allocated 6-700 tickets if your lucky so i doubt tocs would even consider running a special.

I too am a said 'glory hunter' living miles away from Liverpool but attend as many games as the redial button on my phone allows until I eventually get through. I looked at tickets for this game but the stipulations for ticket issues will prevent many who have not attended previous league cup games (it says you must have Leeds, Arsenal and Tottenham recorded). I'm guessing the allocation for Liverpool is very little so coaches will be laid on for anyone taking up the away game transport. Shame really but imagine the route any sort of footex return at that time may have to take! But back to glory hunters statement, most teams in the prem win very little have also have very little scope of winning so supporting a local team for glory is probably a better bet! (Liverpool haven't has owt for years so no glory there, just living in the past!)

I went to Exeter v Brentford last Tuesday, got the sleeper home and straight in to work the next day! Liverpool probably a bit far to get away with doing the same thing.
