At a glance, the only 220 not out today (other than those already accounted for) appears to be 220004Another unit has gone into Derby for refurbishment but not sure which, ran 5Z93 this morning.

Might be. Although 004 hasn't been out since the 28th of Feb, so might not be that one if there's something wrong with it.At a glance, the only 220 not out today (other than those already accounted for) appears to be 220004
They do look a bit haggered now with the old liveryAs for the livery, I prefer it. The old XC livery slapped over the top of Virgin was scruffy and tired and it’s nice to see the back of the “Can’t be *rsed” Virgin Red Roofs left to become black from exhaust, outline of the Virgin badge, and brown front ends.
220028 was the refurbished one that left Derby on the 18th.Can anyone please confirm the latest movements to/from Derby Litchurch Lane involving XC voyagers on Wednesday 18th March 2026?
This is what I previously posted as the latest situation in post #1808.
220023 - At Derby Litchurch Lane
220025 - At Derby Litchurch Lane
220027 - Refurbished - Departed Derby Litchurch Lane Saturday 28th February 2026
220033 - Refurbished - Departed Derby Litchurch Lane Monday 16th February 2026
Presumably one of either 220023 or 220025 departed and another 220 not a 221 (rumoured to be 220004 above) arrived?
Do we know if 220023 is definitely there as 220028 hasn't been accounted for here? Can anyone please confirm the latest movements to/from Derby Litchurch Lane involving XC voyagers on Wednesday 18th March 2026?

023 arrived on the 16th of Feb and 028 got there on the 5th January on this I believe:Do we know if 220023 is definitely there as 220028 hasn't been accounted for here?
220004 is still in service. Can anyone please confirm the latest movements to/from Derby Litchurch Lane involving XC voyagers on Wednesday 18th March 2026?

There were photos on Facebook of it. I can take a screenshot when I have time.220004 is still in service.
Did anyone actually see either of the 220028 moves between Barton and Litchurch Lane and return?
As opposed to what, the 221s being done before the 220s?Is there a reason, the 4 car 220s are being done before the 221s?
Could it be 221137? Didn't that one already have a coach out with corrosion issues? Is there any chance the mystery candidate for refurbishment is a 221? I'm sure that 220004 was the only unit of that class not otherwise accounted for on the day that I looked, but it's currently working a Bournemouth diagram so is obviously not in Derby!
Was last out on Thursday 19th, so a day too late for last week's move.Could it be 221137? Didn't that one already have a coach out with corrosion issues?
If 220004 was the only 220 not out that day, my other guess is 221132. That's the only 221 not out today that hasn't been out since before the 18th, all others that aren't out today have been out since that run to Derby happened. Was last out on Thursday 19th, so a day too late for last week's move.
So, just to be sure I'm understanding correctly, on Wednesday 18th March 2026 it was 220021 that went from Central Rivers to Litchurch Lane and 220028 that went from Litchurch Lane to Central Rivers? If 220004 was the only 220 not out that day, my other guess is 221132. Edit: Have just checked at it was allocated as 220021 on railcam, so, case closed!

Hit by a train? There was a bit of a set mix up during the middle part of the day as there was a fatality at Durham so trains were being displaced.
The first few units in a programme like this tend to take longer as the facility gets used to handling them.Is there a reason, the 4 car 220s are being done before the 221s?
Expect to see 137 back to full length any dayCould it be 221137? Didn't that one already have a coach out with corrosion issues?
Yes, had a rather cosy standing room only journey in the end coach with 4 or 5 others yesterday when it formed a short formed 4 coach 1S33 to Edinburgh (220018 was also initially showing as allocated up until at least 5am according to RTT when I looked)220028 is entering service this morning following refurbishment and is headed to Wales this evening on the Cardiff diagram.
From my last 2 journeys one on the refurbished 220027 and the other an ex Avanti 5 coach set the temperature has been far from stuffy, I just think the new lighting and interior on the refurbished units make it feel like a totally different ambience to the old interiors.Does anyone know if the HVAC system on the Voyagers has been modified or had its settings changed of late? I used to find Voyagers quite stuffy, and they gave me mild motion sickness. However on my last two journeys over the last month, both have had loads of fresh air coming in from above, which has been very welcome.

Obviously there is the still the capacity issues but now there are more 5 car ex-avanti sets being used this has helped on some of the diagrams. I actually think they have got the interior colour scheme spot on which makes the whole experience much better. I would rather do a 5 hour journey on a refurbished voyager or ex Avanti one than a horrible GWR IET with the rock hard seats intense lighting and ghastly interior colour scheme.
Some alterations have taken place at the end of the coaches for more luggage but they should of modified the overhead storage as it's still a problem with the bigger suitcases above carry on size. I'm guessing that there is some reason why they ain't done this.I'll reserve judgement a bit until I've been on one (not likely to be any time soon) but the main issue with Voyagers, the woeful luggage space provision, has not been resolved, and so I'd take the IET any day.
