Please move if in the wrong place, but there's some vintage-looking Tube stock and NSE signage in the teaser here, in keeping with the 1991-1992 setting of the first book.
Where is the tube station HP and hagrid are seen coming out of at 0:53? That bridge span is quite distinctive but it doesn't look like Kings Cross
I think it's a CGI montage. That overbridge looks like the one between Waterloo main line (building on right) and Waterloo East - but there is no Underground subway at that spot there.Where is the tube station HP and hagrid are seen coming out of at 0:53? ....which makes perfect sense as they are, presumably, going to Diagon Alley, which is off Charing Cross Road. The tiling - very 70s, dating from the rebuilding of the station for the Jubilee Line - should have given it away. And the Northern Line serves Charing Cross (although it is not clear where HP and Hagrid would have been coming from, as from Surrey they would have used the main line to Waterloo)

Thanks for reminding me.Nothing like -

I used to walk under both (and across the Waterloo one) back in latter 1990s and until 2005.i hadn't even noticed Charing Cross's!Ah, but they use magic so naturally they will conjure up for themselves the best ever deep tube stock.1938 stock slightly anachronistic for the early 90s, as the last ones ran, on the Northern Line, in 1988.

I think you're onto something.Ah, but they use magic so naturally they will conjure up for themselves the best ever deep tube stock.
Is not the Hogwarts Express itself still steam well after 1968? Same principle...![]()
Is the 1938 stock finished in the usual shade of "Hogwart's Express Locomotive Red"?Ah, but they use magic so naturally they will conjure up for themselves the best ever deep tube stock.
