Wouldn't be surprised on that point - people who can/have the power to do so allocate units to go to some unusual places in their last days

Either that or somebody at SWR is owed a favour and has called it in to go home on a 455

Will be intresting how much time is lost after woking due to the 75mph max speed of 455s and that was always a struggle to get to.

Suprisingly keeping to time. Must have had real good work done on those two units.

Lots of heavy braking into stations amd lots of brake smells.

They certainly didnt have any on the basingstoke run which shocked me but as Class 317 mentioned the Driver must have been a proper old boy

On time on their last Guildford arrival this evening and not specially busy. Some enthusiasts on board and couple of dozen people taking photos at Guildford.

It was busier on the Hampton Court run with teenagers and 20-somethings particularly conspicuous.
