Hi all,

Is anyone struggling to get tickets for this event. I'm clicking the link via greater anglia but it is taking me to the generic greater anglia page.

I,ve tried google chrome and microsoft outlook but to no avail.

Yes if you hover over the button it clearly shows that the link is pointing to greateranglia.co.uk rather than whatever they're using to do the event booking. Probably someone put that in as a place holder whilst drafting up the page but forget to change it before going live! Sure it'll be fettled before too long.

Amongst the fine detail at the bottom of the page are "walking map" and "site map" tabs, the contents of which are "To be inserted at a later date." and "Insert Downloadable Site Map" respectively. It looks like they've turned on the lights and opened the shutters, but haven't yet unlocked the doors (to use, rather clumsily, a physical shop analogy).

I also note that the "safety & security" tab includes "no high-visibility vests or similar garments are permitted on site". Thankfully it's in June so I shouldn't need my Mountain Warehouse jacket that's dayglow orange!

Brings back memories of the first crown point open day I went to, must have been 1986 as I think somewhere I still have the section of overhead line wire they were giving away to mark electrification, I was a child at the time but shows my age

I'm liking the line in the T&Cs that says visitors must "Not carry out any activity whilst on site which is damaging, dangerous, offensive, illegal or immoral."

I'm not sure how you'd define the last one...

Currently says that more may become available at a later date.

Definitely demand for open days, just a pity there couldn't be more.

That's so disappointing. I have been checking before and after work every day since the link first went live. Hopefully they will release some more in due course. I wonder how many tickets were actually available.

Quoting the local EDP newspaper website (which is ad heavy and not pleasant to use)

"More than 1,100 tickets giving people the chance to explore a Norfolk train depot for the first time in more than 30 years have been snapped up - within two-and-half hours of being made available."
