Reason has gone down as issue with the train crew, will return to Derby under 5Z84222006 terminated at Kettering platform 4. Currently still sat there (my house backs onto the station.) Reason unknown.

Guessing that’ll result in a meeting without tea and biscuits?Station overshoot at Kettering.
016 back out today016 has failed at Derby on 1C74.
Not looking good at the moment - I know Mondays are now quieter so perhaps fewer customers will be inconvenienced, but the current situation is that there won't be any 10-car departures from St Pancras this evening, and the 1832 is cancelled.009 failed on 1F49.
It doesn’t help them that 2 of their 810s can’t even run passengers (008 + 009), yet they don’t run them in the 2 driver training runs, meaning an 810 that can run passengers (such as 011 today) can’t fill in for failed units. Not looking good at the moment - I know Mondays are now quieter so perhaps fewer customers will be inconvenienced, but the current situation is that there won't be any 10-car departures from St Pancras this evening, and the 1832 is cancelled.
To be fair, the situation for also reflects that out of 9 Cl810s that have been accepted by EMR (including 015 that arrived last week), only 2 are out and about carrying customers.
Please don't jump to the wrong conclusions. 011 is restricted to crew training journeys for a reason, and would have been used in passenger service if it was possible. There have been times the past few weeks where they have pinched the training unit to keep passenger services running so it does happen. It just isn't possible today with the ongoing fleet issues and the added disruption from last night/this morningIt doesn’t help them that 2 of their 810s can’t even run passengers (008 + 009), yet they don’t run them in the 2 driver training runs, meaning an 810 that can run passengers (such as 011 today) can’t fill in for failed units.
Yeah, I just feel that it’d make the most sense to keep the 2 units for driver training on driver training, so that the other units can be prioritised for mainline service so we don’t get the situation that has been in the last few days where only 2 (or even 1 on Saturday) units are out at a time. Please don't jump to the wrong conclusions. 011 is restricted to crew training journeys for a reason, and would have been used in passenger service if it was possible. That's always the plan anyway. But if the training units have issues as well they can't be used. There are extra staff from Newton Aycliffe and Doncaster who are helping out specifically on the 810sIs the growing number of 810's being attended to - to fix faults - now impacting the amount of depot resources to service the Class 222's?
There are now seven 810's - two of which are in service today. Would that mean the remaining five are in the workshops with engineers grappling with the faults - alongside five faulty 222's?
How are Hitachi / EMR managing the priority here?
that's handy, but how many depot roads are now occupied with broken 810's that could be maintaining/ repairing the 222's?There are extra staff from Newton Aycliffe and Doncaster who are helping out specifically on the 810s
I highly doubt that any of the shed roads are used for stabling.that's handy, but how many depot roads are now occupied with broken 810's that could be maintaining/ repairing the 222's?
I'd imagine Etches Park depot is getting a little cosy if they have more trains on than before (the 810s being longer than a 222 too).that's handy, but how many depot roads are now occupied with broken 810's that could be maintaining/ repairing the 222's?
EMR lost five Class 222 units, but it now has nine Class 810's - two of which (008 and 009) were primarily driver training units, six units accepted for passenger service and the latest unit (015) imminently due to join that pool. It seems only 006 and 014 are fit for traffic, so that suggests six units either waiting for repairs or being repaired - alongside the five 222's out of action today. How many units can be worked on during a working day?I'd imagine Etches Park depot is getting a little cosy if they have more trains on than before (the 810s being longer than a 222 too).
Well, 222004 is still in Etches I believe, and will probably be for a bit (maybe until a space opens up for refurb in Widnes, not too sure), so that’s a 7-car permanently taking up a lane. Then you’ve got 222007 which seems to be on display at this point, also taking up a road, and then it appears as if 810016 is due to be delivered this week too, so there will be another spot gone.EMR lost five Class 222 units, but it now has nine Class 810's - two of which (008 and 009) were primarily driver training units, six units accepted for passenger service and the latest unit (015) imminently due to join that pool. 004 is bound for lumo probably not returning with emr nowWell, 222004 is still in Etches I believe, and will probably be for a bit (maybe until a space opens up for refurb in Widnes, not too sure), so that’s a 7-car permanently taking up a lane. I did get to see Etches last Saturday however, and apart from the 810s and 222004/7 taking up the front few roads, there seemed to be a bit of space, however at night with all the units there, I’m not too sure. There did also seem a lot of room in and around the regional stock, with not much in there when I was there.
Any idea how much longer 004 is having remedial work done before Lumo take it?004 is bound for lumo probably not returning with emr now
Not sure, but a guess could just be once 001/003 have finished up in Widnes, then 004 will take the place of that finished unit.Any idea how much longer 004 is having remedial work done before Lumo take it?
222015 had been one of the better units. I had it a couple of weeks ago on all five engines. Power a few percent down. But the driver was very happy to have a unit on all five enginesOne of the engines on 222015 seems to have lost power approaching Kettering as it has gone very quiet in the carriage and have lost lighting / power sockets. Not impacting speed as it's one of the booked 10-car services.
The 810 that was not able to make jr out today I believe was 810012, it was allocated onto a single service today which was cancelled due to the signalling issues in London, however after tracking that back I found the flow never left Derby (5B07)Bad start to today, - six units out of action meaning only 16 units for 20 diagrams. and it is reported elsewhere that EMR are a Class 810 short today as well.
Edit: looks like four northbound Intercity services cancelled so far and four services with unallocated units.
To add to the general carnage caused by whatever issue is affecting St Pancras - Connect is completely up the swanny.Cancellations today involving the failures of both 008 and 022.
