I hear that DB will be running an ICE 3 service to Ghent, Bruges and Ostend in July and August.

On weekends, the new ICE trains will take passengers to the historic cities of Bruges and Ghent for the first time, as well as directly to the Belgian North Sea coast in Ostend.

The new ICE train will run from June to July, as well as in August 2026. The connection departs from Cologne Central Station Monday through Friday at 10:40 to Brussels, and on Saturdays and Sundays at 10:08 to the Belgian North Sea coast...

Does anyone have more details on the service?

The 9th ICE pair to Belgium has been in the DB timetable for some time now. They run 6/6 until 30/8, except 21/7-5/8 (high speed line Leuven-Liège closed for engineering works):
  • During weekends, ICE 1110/1111 run to/from Ostend and call at Liège, Leuven, Brussels (2x), Ghent, Bruges, Ostend.
  • On Mon+Fri ICE 1112 runs from Cologne dep. to Brussels Zuid/Midi and calls at Leuven and Brussels Noord/Nord.
  • On Tue/Wed/Thu ICE 1114 runs to Brussels Zuid/Midi and calls at Liège and Brussels Noord/Nord.
  • On Mon-Fri ICE 1113 rund Brussels Zuid/Midi and calls at Brussels Noord/Nord and Liège.
ICE 1113 and 1114 use in the usual high-speed paths.
ICE 1110, 1111 and 1112 and have different paths and call at some different stations because there's a red Eurostar in the way.
