Just a note, 57314 is the loco moving up to Glasgow on the 0Z99 move (Currently nearing Carstairs), and its job is to move the stranded trains out of the station (presumably to the depot nearby). This should allow for a proper evaluation of the condition of the OLE and other parts of the station before they re-turn on the OLE.

Looking at the Open Train Times maps, the 390 that was in platform 1 has been removed, but none of the other trains as yet.

0Z99 has just (re)appeared from Polmadie depot, and is routed up to the station throat so presumably is about to rescue another train.

I am guessing that most of the units there will have been left with pans up, and with OHL off, will all batteries will be dead?

Suspect most of the units will need dragged out or attached to another of the class once power is back on

If the batteries are indeed dead on 390s after being sat at Glasgow Central with the power off how are they charged up again? Is it just a case of getting them to the nearest depot and leaving the pan up or is there more to it than that? Also how long will it take for the batteries to charge back up again?

WCRC Thunderbird been in station overnight and removed two Pendolinos and a TPE unit to Polmadie.
So that means there are 8 units remaining, all ScotRail, unless they've managed to get any of those out and I've missed something.

Traksy only shows 7 platforms occupied (3, 6, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14)

Just speculating but maybe one was a 156 that could leave on its own power?
It's 7 trains but 8 individual units, there's one train of two units coupled together. Yesterday (post #163) I worked out everything that was in there by checking unit allocations against the headcodes of what was in there. What's left is one 318, one 380/0, four 380/1s and two 385/0s.

Is there any trains still inside central? A post on sunday evening stated some but I would think some of the units in the station have been moved. Any ideas?

Thanks

Traksy is still showing at least seven units in the station from the screenshot above at 16:21 , 10/03/2026.

Comparing it to a screenshot I took around 9pm on Sunday it appears the two Pendolinos and 397005 have been dragged out, presumably to Polmadie(?) but everything else is still where it was.

Nothing wrong with the two 390s; both back in service today.

A WCRC Thunderbird removed two 11 car Pendos and a TPE 397 to Polmadie overnight. All ScotRail units remain in the station

Maybe something to do with the fact that the Pendolini - and presumably the 397? - have Dellner emergency couplings, and are therefore compatible with the 57....whereas the ScotRail units have Scharfenberg couplings? Open to correction as always.

Possibly though not 100% sure. I would have thought if they needed them out, there would be emergency coupler options available. Maybe there is an element of cost-benefit - Avanti and TPE probably still need most of the usual fleet to run a service. ScotRail have lost a sizeable chunk of their service so the units may be more (than Avanti and TPE) surplus to requirements

Does anyone know what units still remain in Central? Looking at traksy here and I wonder if some of the track circuits have possibly timed out? Though Open Train Times seems to back it up.

Been gradually taking out the stranded units today I understand.

It looks like there are now trains in 3 platforms, including one in platform 2 (which maybe can't be moved?)

EDIT: Just realised that berth code 6385 presumably indicates it is the double 385 set

It looks like there's only two remaining now - screenshot below. One of them is listed as a 7 car, so two units together, but interestingly it has a 2xxx headcode, not a 5xxx one. However, 2K19 is not a current time for Glasgow Central?

While not on RealTimeTrains yet, Darwin has a 2K19 tomorrow for 10:45 to Ayr. A few other platforms are now reoccupied for start of service departures. 10:45 is well into service, perhaps another unit is planned to go to depot or something like that.
