Excuse my feet - on a pendolino today coming back from Manchester and the leatherette is starting to come off some of the arm rests in standard on the refurbed seats. Apologies if I should know this, but was this an experimental colour moquette that was never used? Looks very much like London Overground colouring, but it's on a Pendolino which confused me, and I don't think I ever saw it actually in use on a Pendolino at all? Any ideas welcomed!

I've seen that before on broken arm rests but just assumed it to be part of the connection and not a specific pattern, but I get where you're coming from with the Overground similarity.

Correct, it is London Overground Moquette. Presumably it’s either a spare arm rest from the manufacturer that’s been recovered for Avanti use or a spare bit of leftover Moquette in Wembley.

it is just a fabric trimming used as a pad under the (faux?) leather arm rest - seen it several times in my regular avanti journeys. it is London Overground stuff but assume it was just what was left in the off cut bin.

EDIT - oh that has been said already. Should read the full thread............

I travelled from Preston on Saturday and in my now empty coach G previously occupied by football fans, nearly every armrest had the blue vinyl ripped off and discarded on the floor!

A fix for this has been approved and will be rolled out to sets over the coming months. Been an issue from literally the week they came out of being refurbed.
