Hi I’m still in training with Avanti but I have received my pass today. Does this mean I can travel freely with it from now or after training ends?

If your a TOC employee and the pass you have been given has unlimited leisure use on that company then fill your boots.

Remember these are non contractual travel facilities ...unlike those who hold "Safeguarded" and come the end of a franchise the new operator ... Which almost certainly in the long run will become GBR could simply withdraw such passes and offer something more appropriate .. so make hay whilst the sunshines.
