Oh look, that's another war he's ended. Call the Novel Peace Prize committee.

Quite impressived with my stepbrother who called this yesterday morning.
Or in his words, “Well you can’t keep a super-carrier at sea with busted plumbing forever and you can’t send it home without doing anything because that nasty Gavin Newsom will call you a chicken, so sometimes you’ve just got to bomb Iran on Friday after the stock market’s closed.”

I presume that he is already busy writing the citation for an award of a Medal of Honor with extra gold bars to be given to him for his heroism.

There was a 1993 film called Wag the Dog in which a fictional war is fabricated with Albania to distract attention from a sex scandal involving the president and an underage girl. That was fiction…

A lot better off without the Islamic state
The Islamic State gained a strong foothold in Libya only after the operation that Gaddafi was killed in. If that intervention had been better managed, especially in its aftermath, Isis wouldn't have been there (just like their operations in Iraq were helped by the Iraq war aftermath).
Partly they are.
'Partly' being the key word here.

This has the potential to unleash terror attacks now worldwide, The US, attacked an Islamic nation with no just cause, and what message does that send out, especially when tensions are already high, how many innocent lives now will be at risk, because Trump needs a distraction against what's in those files, nothing solidifies jihadis like attacking an Islamic country,

Congress now needs to stop being so scared, and act, get him out, by whatever means, but the die is now cast, across the world there will be people wanting revenge on not just the US, but on any nation who is considered friends of the US, innocent people are now going to be a target.

The Axis of Evil strikes again.

I'm no fan of the Iranian regime and would gladly see the back of it but I don't see what this can possibly achieve, other than creating even more havoc for the Iranian people.

The US has said they are only targeting military targets - one can only imagine what a girl's school value is as a legit target as they have bombed out of existence in Minab

One should always be a little bit wary of claims made by regimes such as Iran. It may well have happened, but don’t build too much on it until it is reasonably well proven.

What is the betting that we will see further damage to Iran’s nuclear ambitions (but leave a bit for next time they want a distraction) and some damage to its ability to attack other countries such as Israel or US Middle East bases and...er...well, just them really. Then the US will retire, pat itself on the back and fill airtime with claims of how they did the job so well. The resulting killing and torture of the protestors who the US called on to take to the streets will be the cause of many angry words and…um…nothing else.

The RAF would disagree
When did airstrikes by the RAF in isolation result in successful regime change, without any involvement of ground forces (be they ours or anyone else's)?

The best that airstrikes can result in is a decapitation of government, which creates a power vacuum. And despots in waiting, much like nature, abhor a vacuum.

It's bad enough being a paedophile, but going to war to stop oneself being exposed as a paedophile is several orders of magnitude more evil.

As yet we don’t know what is said about Trump in the papers, despite the proliferation of rumours. He almost certainly appears multiple times in them, but we don’t know in what context. There seems to have been one specific unsavoury allegation, but there are a number of quite genuine doubts about this: it may be true, it may not be true. It is always possible that there is nothing in the papers that shows Trump to have done nothing (in a sexual context) indictable. He may be revealed (to those who haven’t already worked this out) to be nothing but a massively bad judge of character and extremely naïve or both. But such is his ego that he will do anything to cover up something like that.

At this point it almost doesn't matter what is in the files. The administration has gone to such lengths to prevent them seeing the light of day that even if they actually show that DJT was a absolutely lily white nobody will believe it.

All of this happening in the era of AI taking off will no doubt muddy the waters too.

You have to say that Trump was incredibly lucky winning his second term. I have no doubt that he would be in a serious amount of trouble at the moment if he wasn’t in power and able to block things, pardon people, alter laws etc.

We may end up only finding out what unpleasant deeds he got up to after he’s passed away. If ever really.
