B9TL 36175 has also gone over to Eastern Counties, although its unreliable nature meant it needed a little help getting there.
Was it towed?B9TL 36175 has also gone over to Eastern Counties, although its unreliable nature meant it needed a little help getting there.
It’s going to Slough, dead runs in that part of First usually say the destination as Hilsea on bustimes33308 currently on its way to Hilsea according to its tracker.
Given it’s now on the M27, I’m inclined to say it’s definitely going to Hilsea, even if temporarily. It’s going to Slough, dead runs in that part of First usually say the destination as Hilsea on bustimes
Isn’t 33301 down that way somewhere? It was having tree damage repairs & might be connected.Given it’s now on the M27, I’m inclined to say it’s definitely going to Hilsea, even if temporarily.
Indeed, I was watching it track up to Junction 7 (as it was coming close to my house) before it did a 180 degree turn and headed southwards down the M3.Given it’s now on the M27, I’m inclined to say it’s definitely going to Hilsea, even if temporarily.
33306, 33308, 33310, 33450 at Hilsea Depot
Reportedly being repaired at Hieford.Isn’t 33301 down that way somewhere? It was having tree damage repairs & might be connected.
One of the drivers has updated BusTimes yesterday after they were delivered to York Pullman. So it seems likely they are headed for sale. Not sure if they’ve got a set location yet, I would’ve thought they’d head to Rochdale but I guess Glasgow also makes sense.
Wasnt expecting them to shut down the coach operation too, theyre reasonably comfortable. Used them a few times on rail replacements, even in south wales. As for some of the Truronian Coaches Levante 2 23652 has moved to Tetley's, West Yorkshire & Levante 2s 23563-23655 have moved to Ensignbus.
Flixbus operations are still continuing though.Wasnt expecting them to shut down the coach operation too, theyre reasonably comfortable. Used them a few times on rail replacements, even in south wales.
Be a wee while yet before the lot that came to us in Glasgow see service, they'll need Cash Vaults and Assault Screens fitted and possibly a retrim as well much like the Solo SRs that came to us last yearAn update regarding 33301-13 (minus 4 and 12), 33450, 51 and 54 now with Berkshire & Thames Valley.
All of the Ultraviolet liveried ones have seen service so far at Slough since their arrival, Some having their small TfC logos removed and others not. 33454 had a breakdown in service on Wednesday although is now back in use again.
Out of the 7 green 333xxs, only 07, 09 and 10 have seen service so far with the rest sat idle in Slough depot. 07 and 09 have seen the majority of service so far, with 10 only being out selectively. Full internal and external Kernow branding including Cornwall-based adverts still in place on all of the green examples, including those that have been used in service at Slough. All of the ex-Kernow MMCs have pretty much been bound to the 7/7X with very little stray onto other routes, although 33313 has been running on the X74 as of the last few hours.
33450 has moved from Hillsea to Slough as of this evening (arrived 9 minutes before writing this post) and appears to still be in it's Copper livery with intact branding.

Glasgow will have them painted, Luckily 33460 is already done so that'll probably be the first one out on the roadYeah Glasgow seem pretty set on eradicating all traces of their past before pushing them into service, although I see it as fairly unlikely that the WoE ones get painted any time soon and I'm 50/50 on the Slough ones depending on what they use them for. Both have a track record for not painting or even debranding new arrivals for quite some time. I see it as extremely unlikely either division will bother retrimming even if painting is on the cards in the near future.
Yeah if they put some on T1 and U1 then it kinda gives a look into previous times seeing as they were used on the T1 (Penzance to Truro) and U1 (Truro to Falmouth) services. All of the ex-Kernow MMC examples with West of England (or the ones in Bristol at least) have been externally debranded, with logos and livery triangles having been removed. Quite a lot of the internal branding (staircase photos and interior posters) have been left in place for the most part depending on the vehicle.
A good few of the Blue 'Uni' liveried ones are being used on U-prefixed services in/around Bristol and the Tinner liveried ones have been used quite a bit on the T1 to Thornbury, which I thought was a nice (yet probably unintentional) nod back to their previous duties in Cornwall.
I see a few of them on the Y1/Y2/Y6 on the way to and from work and I'm just hoping they get put on the specific journeys I use as I think they look ever so slightly better than our own native ones! All of the ex-Kernow MMC examples with West of England (or the ones in Bristol at least) have been externally debranded, with logos and livery triangles having been removed. On the T1 the seats with a table (upper deck, off side, one behind the stairs) are popular with school children travelling to/from the Castle school in Thornbury.I see a few of them on the Y1/Y2/Y6 on the way to and from work and I'm just hoping they get put on the specific journeys I use as I think they look ever so slightly better than our own native ones!![]()
It finally happend, got former Kernow E400 MMC 33478/WK66 BZC as my bus home from work, complete with Transport for Cornwall logos on the front upper deck on both sides still!
WOE did the same thing when it got some native B9TL's back from Kernow, left subtle TFC logos in place.Yeah I noticed them on BZC the other day, interesting choice to remove all the other exterior branding that might not be immediately non-area-specific at first glance to the general public, but leave the big red "Transport for Cornwall" stickers.
Ironically Slough appears to have done the exact opposite, bothering to remove the TfC logos but still keeping the rest of the exterior branding fully intact.
Currently on 33464 on a Bristol T1, complete with a coving route map for the Truro T1...Yeah if they put some on T1 and U1 then it kinda gives a look into previous times seeing as they were used on the T1 (Penzance to Truro) and U1 (Truro to Falmouth) services.
I saw a post somewhere recently with a link to somewhere on the FirstBus website listing all the 2026 open top routes and Discover Exmoor was indeed on there.I see that there are various social media posts stating that the Exmoor Coaster, or now Discover Exmoor, is returning this year. Does anybody know the details, and whether or not it is open top this year?
