I agree, I suppose I meant more - the Bombardier/Alstom similarities are present e.g. lighting, surfaces and general open-ness felt like the 701s/720s.

Why Tyseley, given it's a diesel depot?

Apologies if I've missed the reason earlier in the thread.
It wasn't at Tyseley for long. It looks like it only arrived from Crewe the previous day as 5Q66. Perhaps there was a reason why it couldn't go direct and Tyseley was a convenient stabling place for one night.
Both journeys reported as 37501 + 730226

Electrics have been dragged to Tyseley in the past to use the Wheel Lathe, this could be a similar example.

There doesn't appear to have been any new 730/2s entering service recently or have I missed something?
How many have now been accepted and how many are used on a daily basis?

The current diagram requirements for 730's M-F are 41 730/0 and 22 730/2

Has anyone seen 234 in service recently.
RTT showed it on 7th Jan on 5U51 to Crewe C.S. (with 230). Can't see any record of it since.
There was a stock movement from Crewe C.S. to Bletchley T.M.D. on 20th Jan (5B99) but I don't know what it consisted of.

There were two moves on 02.02.26 which certainly ran accoring to RTT, but which do not seem to have been generally reported:
5Q16 1027 Bletchley to Gascoign Wood and 5Q78 1553 Gascoign Wood to Bletchley.
Anyone know which units were moved please ?

RTT shows these on 3rd Feb, not 2nd.
Other reports show these as:
730211 Bletchley to GW
730226 GW to Bletchley
both dragged by 37501

I've been using the 730/2's to and from work now since November and I'm starting to notices there is a few units running around with broken glass panels in the luggage rack, is there something causing this as I've not noticed this on any other fleet other than the GA Flirts where people have headbutted them?

Can't say I've noticed any. Any idea which units?

No sorry, I've noticed it once in the "first class" area and once in the standard area, they have the clear plastic film applied over them.

Next time I spot it I'll note the unit number.

Looks like something was moved from Soho to Gascoigne Wood yesterday. 5Q77 is in Realtime Trains (RTT) to move 730203 & 730220 to BY from GW. However, it hasn't left GW yet (90 mins late). Interesting that the actual 730 numbers are shown in RTT

Yesterday's move from Soho was 730001. Today's move to Bletchley is 730220 only (despite RTT stating 730203 & 730220), currently running 100min late.

I am presuming that 730204 is still at Derby Litchurch Lane and that 730236 is still at Gascoigne Wood , I know 234 has been on the MKC - EUS turns the last few days
