5716 allocated on LRR (as a 4 car, unless they haven't got round to allocating another set)

Many thanks for this - 2O47 and 1D51 can't be worked by the same units though? - e.g. 2O47 gets into Waterloo just before 1D51 departs (you're right though - RTT is showing 716 + 721 allocated to both workings!)

455s need to end the day at Wimbledon and 1D51 will do that, whereas continuing with the rest of the diagram for 2O47 will not. There is a stock change between those two services.

Ah yes, I think that was the 0752 Surbiton Waterloo.(schedule posted earlier in the thread)
They then go empty to depot afterwards.

Looking at the RTT 716+721 have been out this morning on 5S07, 2S07, 2S16 & 5Y82. Something different today.
Wonder if anyone will come out later!

I'm surprised a pair haven't been put out on the Windsor side tonight. I passed a rammed 458402 at Richmond earlier. It's been out on its own to and from Windsor all day. It'll even be forming the 1733 Waterloo - Windsor.

The problem with 455s on the Windsor side now is crew knowledge, Feltham and Staines depots don't sign them anymore and most of their driver's knowledge of them has probably elapsed. A 4 car train is better than a diagram getting cancelled due to no crew.
On top of that you've also got the issue of 8 car 455s being unable to call at Datchet, so you wouldn't want one on an all day Windsor diagram for that reason either!

they cancelled the stops at vauxhall, clapham and putney on this service

I'm surprised that crew knowledge has lapsed so soon. Most routes had booked work until two months ago. If we've reached the point where three sets are short formed whilst all six 455s stand idle, then there's little point in keeping them.

Makes you think, could they not backfill with a pair of 455s on say a Chessington or Hampton Court diagram (starting and ending at Wimbledon park) where crew knowledge or platform lengths wouldn't be a problem and then use the 450s or 701s originally booked on that diagram to fill in on the Windsor side. Would seem the logical thing to do?

But that is exactly what did happen on Tuesday & Wednesday mornings. A 701 worked a 2*458/4 diagram, whilst 2J92 0752 Surbiton - Waterloo was 2*455 vice 701. On Monday morning a 35th 701 was available, so was able to cover for 2*458/4 without using 455s. It may be worth noting that the current 458/4 diagrams were supposed to be reduced from 24 to 22 with the LTP diagram changes of 9th Feb, but it appears that they are still STP'd back up to 24 which may or may not be a contributory factor in conjunction with the number of out of service 458/4s; 401 since 11.08.25, 410 since failing at Brentford 05.02.26, 413 since failing at Wandsworth Town 12.02.26, 424 to Bournemouth 06.02.26 plus 411 & 412 that have not worked so far this week.

I can guess the SWR priority/hope is working on 701s to get them into service rather than repairing 458s on short leases. That means more work for the 455s provided they do not need repairs.

Train Mapper records that after 455712 and 455732 were out on Friday (20 Feb), the sets went back to Wimbledon out of service as 5Y64, but also suggests 455712 alone then worked 2K77 (0042 from Waterloo to Strawberry Hill), arriving at Strawberry Hill at 0121, and then 5K77 to Strawberry Hill depot. Realtimetrains / Rail-Record instead suggest 701037 worked 2K77 and 5K77. Is 5712 also now at Strawberry Hill?
