Can't help but feel it'll be one extreme or the other with not much in between. Would be amazing to have more of them mainline certified though - a double headed 31 railtour would sell very quickly!

From what I've seen here and there 31210 is expected to receive the wheelsets from 31235, whether 210 is intended for main line use or preservation I've no idea, there was the mystery of 31106 which was bought by H&H reportedly for main line use, it sat at the ELR for some time before its trip to Kingsbury for scrapping, other than that I'm sure 31128 would love a main line certified partner

Do you know who owns 128? My records have it as being owned by Nemesis Rail but not quite sure where I got that from? Are H&H involved with Nemesis Rail in some way or were H&H just tasked with moving the stock?

Also, I have just seen elsewhere that 210 and 235 have been re-registered into the MBDL pool (private owners pool) but not sure this means much in the grand scheme of things or whether it was just a necessary thing to do to drag them on the mainline

31128 is owned by Nemesis as far as I know and is quite often on hire to the NYMR. Nemesis are not a TOC so other companies will be used to move any locos or vehicles.

** 31128 Scheduled Thursday - 0917 0M50 Knottingley TMD to Chaddesden
Not only "The Not Holyhead" but also the mainland UK positioning moves for the Isle of Man tour UKR are running that same weekend and part of "The Gold Medallion" package UKR have offered for those wanting the positioning moves (plus the Not Holyhead) only. Due to run Kings Cross to Derby on 9th April, then Derby to Kings Cross on 13th April followed by Watford to Derby on 14th April.

Based on the news coming out about 008, I would hope UKR are looking at alternative options to keep all of that running. Thankfully all hotels I have booked for the Gold Medallion are on free cancellation at the moment but I have committed to a £50 advance to get me to London on 8th so that is at more serious risk now then when I booked it :| The joys of railtouring, eh? :D

50008 has been at Nemesis Burton since 9th March, I've not seen any updates on repairs as yet and just a couple of pictures have appeared on Flickr showing it outside in a line of various other locos, reference to it in respect of the UK Railtours 'The West Midlands Deviator' has been removed from the UKR website
