How do you know it’s fact as I find it hard to believe that an operator could have a fleet under provision for so long.

I suspect it is just down to disgruntled allocations staff who would like to have a higher percentage spare capacity in order to meet the Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) which would make their life easier!

With B9TLs dropping like flies because first aren’t repacing engines and gearboxes, roughly 30 have been withdrawn and sent for scrap with no replacement. You look at caledonias allocation board and you’ll see about 15 vehicles loaned in from other garages to cover short allocations

They're 14"2' so technically could still be used I'm sure, Interiors are all the same as the rest of the Cornwall batch, Same as the Solo SRs we've got in Scotstoun except they've had a retrim to the new First moquette, WK66 CCY 33460 is in Ultraviolet, probably be the first one pressed into service since it's already in the current livery

It’s fairly obvious Caledonia depot will be short when bustimes shows there are 11 electric single deckers out of service since middle of 2025. (Assume they are out of service and just not tracking)

Decker shortage as well with the Gemini's dropping like flies, 11 E400MMCs on their way up tonight from Camborne depot but that'll only cover the X25/X25A, wether they'll be for that service specifically I don't know, would Imagine it will be a mix of anything they have for it but it won't cover the shortage, Hopefully the Newpowers that are still to head to Scotstoun will free up the old 77 E400MMCs, already one on loan to Caledonia just now 33394

20812 took the Drivers down to Cornwall. Was it swapped and the Tourismo came back? or have/are both coaches returning?
Makes sense to leave it down there for Ensign to collect.

I was told 20812 was returning to Glasgow to arrange its disposal wherever that might be. 24212 left Summercourt today so should be on its way to Aberdeen (possibly via Glasgow?)
There was talk of 20812 getting a repaint and possible retrim when it arrives in Glasgow, so I assumed further use with First coaching division.

I see a few ex-Kernow buses have already entered service down South.
I do wonder if Glasgow plan to do the same or whether they’ll be retrimmed and repainted much like the solos.

They’ve got until the first weekend in April to get them ready for the PVR increase.
I have a feeling the Solos are for Blantyre & Scotstoun, as there are already Solos at those depots.
The rest of the Euro 5 Streetlites from Scotstoun.
Ah yes forgot about them. How many do Scotstoun have?

5, Three 13 plates and Two 63 plates, Never know Overtown might get some of the Solo SRs that arrived today from Cornwall, would be an ideal replacement since they originally had 68 plate E200MMCs before they where replaced with absolute buckets

Good Riddance! They were a terrible replacement for the loaned E200MMCs that got sent to a Go-Ahead company once the loan went off.

I don’t think Solo SRs would do well on the 240 however as of the shorter E200MMCs and E200s do appear on the 240. I don’t think a Solo SR could mange doing that.

I’d say absolutely none of those types of vehicle you’ve mentioned are suitable for the 240 which should really be operated by a full size E200MMC or a Volvo Evora.
Glasgow will never buy Evoras. We are stuck with ADL or Wright.

The Ex-Scotland East batch are still allowed to be on the 60/60A, and I believe they’re the same height as the Cornwall batch?

First had committed to not buying any more diesels except for specific contracts where electrics (or hydrogen) cannot be employed. So hence why they bought Evoras for the smaller Manchester franchise and for Dublin.
