CY had 18156 on the 125 the other day and a CY scan was spotted on the X2/2X so may have been a breakdown swap.

Its quite normal for CY to loan 3 or 4 Volvo Oly's to Preston during summer as the schools are on holiday, 18156 will be a frequent visitor to Chorley over numerous weekends throught the year and has nothing to do with breakdowns etc, plans are afoot for it to undergo a repaint at some point keep your eyes peeled...;), the choice of Veh that it swaps with will always change as per requirements.

16353, 20943 & 34048 have all now departed Carlisle for the scrapman.

Recently repainted 20795 is now in service with Kendal depot.

20895 has re-appeared at Carlisle depot and is now parked out the back with the majority of the other withdrawn B10Ms.

22104 been on short 302's today, pulled off due to heavy traffic making it run late. Seems a very good bus, sounds nice, picks up speed very well. Only real niggle with it is the "in Cumbria" fleetname above drivers window doesn't have dots on the i's  side and rear display's not programmed.

34218 on 31's, while 35246 on extra X5.

34218 on 2's today, wasn't a nice ride up the hills! Had quite a burning smell coming out of it...
20910 on 31A.
22104 out on 31's. Took a ride on it, it didn't seem to like top end speed. 3 speed gearbox holding it back a bit!

Not sure why they went to the trouble adding a few White stickets onto them, they look awful! Will look even better once a few windows have been put out...

I imagine they want to make sure the route is popular before spending money on branding. I understand that not everyone at the top is happy about the 12 lol.

I'm glad they have got LEDs and I think all three of them have had recent repaints and refurbs but not sure. With the County Council putting so much money into the bus lane and raising curbs SC had to put some effort in lol.

Stagecoach announces UK Bus regional management appointments

Stagecoach has announced the appointment of two new Managing Directors for regional companies in its UK Bus division.

The new appointments, effective from 1 September 2011, also follow a structural change within the UK Bus division's operations in the North-west of England. The former Stagecoach North West operations will now form part of two new regional companies: Cumbria and North Lancashire, and Merseyside and South Lancashire.

Elisabeth Tasker, currently Operations Director with Stagecoach Manchester, is appointed Managing Director of Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire. She will have responsibility for depots in Liverpool, Preston and Chorley.

Nigel Winter is promoted from Operations Director, Stagecoach North East, to Managing Director Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire, with responsibility for the Carlisle, West Cumbria, Kendal, Barrow and Lancaster depots.

Stagecoach has also confirmed the following positions:

Paul Southgate, formerly Managing Director Stagecoach North West, becomes Commercial Manager, Stagecoach UK Bus.
Les Burton, Operations Director, Stagecoach Merseyside, will become Operations Director Stagecoach Merseyside and South Lancashire
Paul Lee will continue as Engineering Director for both of the Stagecoach companies in the North-west.
Les Warneford, Managing Director of Stagecoach UK Bus, said: "These new appointments demonstrate the strength of management talent we have across the division. I would like to congratulate Elisabeth and Nigel on their deserved promotions and wish them every success in their new roles."

Following the new Managing Director appointments, Stagecoach will be seeking applications for the following three positions:

Operations Director, Stagecoach Manchester, covering depots at Hyde Road, Sharston, Stockport and Ashton
Operations Director, Stagecoach North East, with responsibility for depots at Walkergate, Slatyford, South Shields, Sunderland, Stockton and Hartlepool
Operations Director, Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire, covering the Carlisle, West Cumbria, Kendal, Barrow and Lancaster depots.
