Źagań (Sagan in German) was the site of Stalag Luft III where the Great Escape took place in 1944. The remains of the camp complex are within a 100m of the station.

A clue here is the Track Gauge - 3 ft 6 in (1,067 mm).

The asterisking is really strange, being an innocent component of a longer word. The offending component is common in Japanese place names (I'm there now).

Surely Scunthorpe and Marseille are acceptable?
