Thankyou! If it was a choice between morning and afternoon you will only be sitting the paper testing. Otherwise it would be a full day.
Congrats! Can I ask which location you applied for?Ive been invited to an assessment day next week! Its such notice so please any advice would be welcomed!! It states that I'll have both paper and computer tests, along with an interview!
Utilise this forum mate - some good advice on here. The material they send out also gives an idea but the real tests are slightly different.Ive been invited to an assessment day next week! Me too!! I missed that, but it didn't state it in the email, just what tests we will be doing. So, will it be if we are successful at this stage, we will be invited back to complete the others? If it’s half day think only do the paper part as someone said above. Wednesday afternoon I’m going. Recruitment were unable to offer me later dates so I'm out of this round. Hopefully they advertise again in the summer.

When I did it there were 2 half days.Am I right in thinking that the half day assessments do not consist of an interview? Just trying to work out what I need to prep for next week. Thanks.
Nice work! Congratulations.Got a phone call today telling me I’ve been successful! Couldn’t be happier thank you to everyone on the this forum! It really helped![]()
Huge congratulations! Is that for York? I'm awaiting my outcome for Scarborough but not hugely hopeful as I think my DMI could have gone better in places.Got a phone call today telling me I’ve been successful! Couldn’t be happier thank you to everyone on the this forum! It really helped![]()
Thanks very much. I shall focus on the pencil and paper test then in the booklet. When I did it there were 2 half days.
Paper tests done solely with pencil and paper on one day. That's the dots, the 2 phone book tests and the dials tests (loads of info on here and similar tests in your invite pack).
If you're successful at that you're invited to another day with computer tests which is the flashing grey squares, the traffic scenes and the 2 hand coordination and then the multi-modal interview if you're successful at the computer ones which is also done on the same day.
How did you dress for the paper tests Im thinking wearing my suit or is that too much? When I did it there were 2 half days.

I'd say just what you're comfortable in, the day is run by the OPC and there was no one from TPE when I did mine so wouldn't worry too much about first impressions. How did you dress for the paper tests Im thinking wearing my suit or is that too much?
Huge Congratulations

That said I can't guarantee yours will be the same, I think I wore chinos and a shirt just so I didn't feel underdressed/under prepared.
Congrats mate. Well deserved.Got a phone call today telling me I’ve been successful! Couldn’t be happier thank you to everyone on the this forum! It really helped![]()
I've been told back end of June 2026 for a course.Congrats mate. Well deserved.
Have they discussed when the course start date is? On the initial job post it was suppose to be Oct-Nov 2025 I think.
