Concorde took off from this airfield ... ;)
Aircraft have to take off from somewhere, otherwise they are not aircraft. That doesn't make Filton an airport; if it did I spent twenty years working at an airport but none of the thousands of people who worked there would claim it was an airport.

Gibraltar is interesting at night when landing from the East and sitting by the window in a "Seat A".
You know you are getting low but have no point of reference until suddenly the illuminated rock is right alongside you; and when your brain has just about adjusted to that, a filling station goes past the window!

A couple in the UK I'm unlikely to use again:
Plymouth. Did a flight to & from Heathrow in 1992 in a Dash 7, as part of a visit back to Inverness.
Kinloss. On a foggy night in March 1991 (before Inverness Airport had the runway extension and upgrade), the DanAir flight from Heathrow was diverted, thankfully not to Aberdeen. I only had that happen the once in the year that I commuted weekly.
It may be a moot point as to whether Kinloss counts as an Airport in this discussion, but it was a commercial flight.

That is quite a list @GRALISTAIR, you clearly have the travel bug!

How many of these have you arrived at on foot rather than by train, tram, bus, taxi car or even bicycle?
Me, Honningsvag - walked from the village, Bodo - walked to and at a later date from the railway station and town, Glasgow - walked from Paisley Gilmour Street.
... and noting @GRALISTAIR 's list...

if we can be pedantic, what's the trigger condition for walking to/from the airport? Distance based, or going outside some defined airport perimeter?

Gibraltar was mentioned: I've caught the scheduled bus from the bus+railway station at Algeciras to La Línea, then walked across the Spain/Gibraltar border, then to Gibraltar airport - it's not really very far, about 800 m. I'd say that counts.

Southampton: on a business trip to the railway works at Eastleigh, I've flown from Manchester to Southampton then walked to Eastleigh works (it's about 2.5 km); then the same in reverse on the way home. That definitely counts.

Podgorica (Montenegro): I've caught a train from Podgorica station to the aptly named "Aerodrom" station (my photo https://steane.com/gallery/picture.php?/7274/category/695), it's then a 1.5 km walk or so.

Ronaldsway airport to Ronaldsway Halt (Isle of Man Steam Railway) - I've walked this, about 600 m, then caught a steam train into Douglas. Does that count? That distance is about the same as Manchester Airport railway station to MAN Terminal 3, but I wouldn't count that....

A separate question I don't have an answer for: where else in the world, other than Ronaldsway, is the normal train service to/from the airport steam worked? (yes, I know it's seasonal)

Many years ago, after a flight from Dublin, walked from East Midlands Airport to Donington Park, watched the British Motorcycle GP, walked back to East Midlands Airport, then got the flight back to Dublin.

Also remember walking from the Falcon's Nest Hotel in Port Erin, on the Isle of Man, in the early hours to catch the early morning flight to London City. That included a quick nap on a bench in Castletown!

Last month I flew to Biarritz and walked to the nearby Hotel. Two days later walked back from the Hotel to Biarritz Airport for my flight back to Stansted.

Have also walked to Hotels outside the Airport Boundary at London City and Bordeaux.

Here's my list, not too many so far but I'm hoping to start travelling more frequently. Numbers in brackets indicate the number of "movements" (arrival or departure) at each airport, italics indicate transfers only (ie: never left the airport).

Heathrow (8); Stansted (3); Birmingham, Bristol (2); Manchester (1)
Gothenburg, Naples, Venice, Barcelona (2); Budapest, Oslo Gardermoen (1)
La Guardia, Toronto, Montreal (2); Newark, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Baltimore (1)

Soon to be added to the list are Frankfurt and JFK.

EDIT: I've not yet managed to walk to/from any yet. Well, technically I walked into Venice airport, but only from the last bus stop before the airport in order to avoid the rip off fares! Not sure if that counts... Most of the others have been train/bus, apart from a few UK trips which have been by car

77 I think but there maybe some European ones I have forgotten about. I did a lot of flying with work in the early 2000s in the days before Teams or Zoom meetings. To think you used to have to fly to another country for a 1 hour meeting.
