That station is one upon which much discussion has ensued over the years on at least two websites.
Abington.
There it is still a current thought that this named station is nothing but an area name given to the first of the two closed stations of Bourne Bridge

It then follows the line of the CLC North Liverpool Extension Line...via Gateacre
It then follows the line of the Southport & Cheshire Lines Extension Railway...via Sefton and Maghull
It then follows the line of the Liverpool, Southport and Preston Junction Railway...via Barton
It then follows the line of the West Lancashire Railway...via Hesketh Park
It then follows the line of the Blackburn and Preston Railway...via Todd Lane Junction
It then follows the line of the Lancashire Union Railway...via Feniscowles
It then follows the line of the Bolton and Preston Railway...via Rawlinson Bridge
It then follows the line of the LYR Hilton House Branch Line...via Hilton House
It then follows the line of the LYR Hindley to Manchester Line...via Pendlebury

Sorry to remind you that the journey preamble made mention of the first line on this journey being "via the Widnes Central loop line", in which there are two closed stations, which precede Halewood (1st station)

Sorry to say that station, which was situated between Runcorn and Allerton, is not one of the two closed stations on the Widnes Central loop line.
