Inspired by the ports you have visited/used thread I don't think there has been similar for Airports (apologies if I am wrong but didn't find one on 'search').
I am sure there will be some very interesting places to emerge so here goes with my list which although varied is admittedly fairly limited mainly as I have not flown since 1990.

Honningsvag, Hammerfest, Tromso, Bodo, Alesund, Stavanger, Gothenburg
Aberdeen, Glasgow, Luton, Heathrow, Gatwick
Poznan, Schiphol, Zurich, Geneva, Porto, Ajaccio, Nice, Palermo.

I've only ever flown out of Manchester (IATA:MAN) in the UK. Other airports used are Heraklion (HER); Malta (MLA); Düsseldorf (DUS) and München (MUC).
I also haven't flown since 1997.

Here we go....off the top of my head so probably forgetting some....

Heathrow / Gatwick / Birmingham / Manchester / Liverpool / Leeds Bradford / Newcastle / Edinburgh / Belfast / Doncaster / Luton

Dublin / Copenhagen / Jonkopping / Amsterdam / Dusseldorf / Munich / Bremen / Berlin / Vienna / Venice / Milan / Paris Orly / Nice / Lille / Zurich / Crete / Cyprus / Alicante / Barcelona / Seville / Porto / Lisbon / Faro / Moscow / St Petersburg / Simferopol / Lanzarote / Fuerteventura / Tenerife / Gran Canaria / the one in Finland where the Santa trips go

JFK / Washington Dulles / Miami / Atlanta / New York Stewart / Providence / LAX / Toronto / Vancouver / Newark / Las Vegas / Boston

Sharjah / Singapore / Sydney / Melbourne / Alice Springs / Cairns / Auckland / Wellington / Queenstown / Christchurch

Couple of odd experiences in amongst....

Alice Springs was a good one.

Early 1990s and Monarch did a UK - Australia flight using (I think) a 737 or 757, with refuelling stops in Sharjah and Singapore. European winter / Aussie summer only so I suppose it kept them occupied. My then future, now ex wife and I did it. Delayed 24 hours in Singapore on the way out due to a windscreen demister failure, delayed 24 hours on the way back in Sharjah, so a couple of bonus cities to red pen. The way the flight was done, it flew into Sydney and everyone cleared customs there regardless of where they were actually getting off, then the bags for the Alice passengers were reloaded and those of us off to Alice got back on, along with an immigration bloke. At Alice we disembarked and lined up while the immigration bloke got out a table and his passport stamper, and admitted us to Australia. The flight then returned to the UK. No idea how he got back to Sydney though. And it was £100 cheaper to fly to Alice Springs! We wanted to go to Uluru (Ayer's Rock) anyway so organised it that way round to save some cash

And Simferopol (again early 1990s) was terrifying. Last flight of the day from Moscow, and it was overbooked. Never mind, standing passengers are fine, and we set off with three or four people stood in the aisles. At Simferopol immigration was done in a nissen hut by a bunch of scary looking soldiers with big guns and zero English. Our passports were whisked off and it felt like a very long time till we got them back. We were going to Yalta, and we did the last bit by trolleybus. A few weeks after we got home we read in the Sunday Times that there was a recommendation not to use Aeroflot internal flights because the view from the west was that they'd effectively split their fleet in half and only the planes that came to the west were getting proper maintenance

I visited Yalta on a Cruise in 2009 and recall seeing some ancient looking Trolleybuses there. Now well off the tourist trail but at least i can say I have been to Crimea!

When we were there virtually all the tourists were Russians. We were there a week, and changed $100 into the Ukrainian money, but everyone wanted dollars, so by the last night we still had about $95 left. We found a bar that took the local money, queued at a counter and via sign language bought two enormous glasses of vodka, grapefruit, and some other stuff. I held out a handful of the money, the guy took one note and gave me change. These drinks - that got us half cut - had cost 8p for the pair.

Much of it business, but a fair sprinkling of leisure. Not much fine flying these days, but about to dip my toe in the water again for the first time in 7 years with a trip to Svalbard. Most memorable airports ? Berlin Tempelhof, the whiff of history, and Hong Kong Kai Tak, mad on so many levels, not least the split-ar*e turn onto final at 1000 ft - get it wrong and you hit the mountain side or run off the end of the runway into the sea. Jolly good fun ! And Kai Tak was a sight and a half from the bar at midnight hen the wave of WB 747s crossed the wave of EB traffic and the whole of the apron was chokka with jumbos.

Te Anau, Milford Sound (NZ), Invercargill (NZ) - "Welcome to the Deep South"
Jackson Hole WY, Flagstaff, Yuma, Phoenix, Tucson (all AZ), Imperial CA, San Antonio TX, Albuquerque NM, Buffalo, Rochester (NY)
George, East London, Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha), Durban (old), Nelspruit (now Mbombela), Pietersburg (now Polokwane) (all South Africa), Windhoek (Namibia)
Samos, Milos, Athens (old)
Kyiv (Borispil)
Bahrain, Hong Kong Kai Tak, Manila, Mumbai
Ayers Rock (Uluru) NT, Darwin NT, Cairns Qld (Australia)
Kittila, Rovaniemi (Finnish Lapland)
plus most EU capitals and quite a few regional airports (eg Bordeaux, Carcassonne, Bilbao, Charleroi, Stuttgart, Gothenburg, Catania, Faro)

That is quite a list @GRALISTAIR, you clearly have the travel bug!

How many of these have you arrived at on foot rather than by train, tram, bus, taxi car or even bicycle?
Me, Honningsvag - walked from the village, Bodo - walked to and at a later date from the railway station and town, Glasgow - walked from Paisley Gilmour Street.

Great question. I will redo list. Often when travelling I would stay at hotels that are walkable from the airport.

Only airports I've used in the United Kingdom are Belfast City, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Gatwick and Heathrow. I don't know if Norwich counts as an AirUk/KLM Edinburgh-Amsterdam flight was diverted there (then back to Edinburgh) instead of Amsterdam due to fog in 1997.

Not sure if I can list all the airports I've been to as a child in the US etc

I think probably the old Stapleton airport is as far west as I've been in the US as well as Chicago, Dulles, Boston etc not sure about Reagan National. I think as a baby I went to Taipei, Chep Lap Kok, Sydney etc.

Also I've been to Milan Linate, Pisa, Venice , Naples, Vienna Rome Fiumicino, Frankfurt and Munich as a child or teenager.

As adult I've been to Copenhagen, Delhi, Calgary, Tokyo Haneda, Tokyo Narita,Osaka Kansai, Shanghai, Leipzig, Berlin Brandenburg , Zurich, Athens, Madrid, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Toulouse, transited through CDG, Schiphol and Stockholm Arlanda
