Amazing really, for 1 week only, in March of 1955 (so i believe) Loco number 10203, Bulleid Diesel D 16/2 , worked both the Golden Arrow and the Night Ferry! . Photo SC Townroe , Colour Rail, DE631. Taken from The Southern Way Special Issue number 1.

Yes they did. British Railways Loco Green with black/orange lining; as seen in these linked photos:

D16/2 locomotives 10202 and 10203

Bulleid Class D16/2 diesel electric locomotives 10203 and 10202 awaiting scrapping, Derby works. They were built in 1953/4, withdrawn to Derby in 1962 and later scrapped at Cashmores, Great Bridge, Tipton in 1968 but it is not clear how they were moved there in this condition. 26 August 1967...

10201 and 10202 gained a multiple-working gangway end-door, which did nothing for the design's looks.

Yes they did. British Railways Loco Green with black/orange lining; as seen in these linked photos:

I remember seeing them from Derby platform, possibly 1966, all lined up in a siding on the Up side beyond the station, possibly along with 10001. Bizarrely all the engines appeared to be ticking over.

A superb find. At 0m 50s, those 1-Co bogies seem to not like the track geometry; Pathe videographer seems to almost get thrown out of the secondman's seat!
