Totally agree with Andrew RT Davies on this: the Vale of Glamorgan Coast Line has been kicked into the long grass yet again by the Welsh Government/TFW. Why is it impossible not to have a half hourly service on this line - even if it means using the old Sprinters? This is being reported by local media today

I rarely agree with Andrew RT Davies on anything, but in this case, he's correct.
Whilst the Valley lines now have brand new Flirts, and increased frequencies to Pontypridd & Caerphilly with more services in the evenings and weekends, the VoG line is stuck at 1tph, 2 car 150s. It's impossible to disagree the line has been de-prioritised by TfW.
Furthermore, why is it taking so long to get the Class 398’s running from the Taff's Well depot? The lines on which they will run have been electrified and now the Rhymney line has also been electrified to thus allow the transfer of the 756’s. Training of main line crews on the FLIRTS has also been taking place though I guess they don't have viable numbers yet available for these trains to be on the VOG line?
I find it incredible that the Welsh Government have not fast tracked improvement to services on the VOG line in view of the fact that it serves the airport they own via the short bus link from Rhoose station.
