Wow your cheery, you don’t work for worst bus do you?Going in the other direction, could the 17 also realistically be dropped to also run every 20min? It runs a near identical route to the First 60/60A from Canniesburn into Glasgow (which run at a combined 15min frequency on all days of the week), & that combined with the Midland Bluebird X10/X10A makes for roughly 9 buses per hour along the Maryhill Road corridor, which, from the roughly 6 times I’ve gotten a bus along that stretch from Maryhill into the city, feels maybe a tad excessive.
To increase the 15 to every 20 minutes would require the peak vehicle requirement from 5 to 7 (maybe even 8), & if the 17 got reduced to every 20min, that’d lower the peak vehicle requirement from 8 to 6, which works well in regards to the 15 increase. Suppose it’s now just a matter of whether or not there’d be any issues with frequency reductions along the rest of the route (though with that being said, the First 2 in Faifley/Hardgate is every 10 minutes &, in my many experiences, isn’t a route that struggles with capacity, & the 15/17 could interlink with each other along Drymen Road to make a combined service every 10min).
I do also think the 15 could run every 30min on Sundays, though I’ve only used it once on a Sunday & it was the 2nd Milngavie-bound journey from Hillhead to Anniesland, so I don’t think throwing my hat into the ring in this regard is the most helpful thing.
I’m still in school currently (got a couple years before I’m at that point), but believe me, if I could choose any operator to work for, they are low on that list.Wow your cheery, you don’t work for worst bus do you?

Of all places to bring up CSB video ideas…Imagine speculative videos on CSB….. ( It would be fire seriously )
Exciting stuff - do we have a rough idea of when the changes could be announced? I’d personally hedge my bets for around the 10th of February since from my experiences with Borders Buses, WCM tend to announce changes relatively soon before the changes come into effect. The changes are planned for 23rd February.

Could you copy and paste the wording from this link because I can’t open it.I'm a bit late, but Craig of Campbeltown's Linkedin is hinting that the holding company is preparing for a major corporate rebrand
If we are gaining a new livery, that would explain why SF75VZS and SF25YLO, the latter without labels haven't been repainted yet.![]()

The company information on the side of both buses also appear to be in the same font of what might be the rebrands standard

GLASGOW earlier starts and later finishes coming your way, oh and big news for North Baljaffray!
From Monday 23 February, we’re extending service 15 to Moorfoot Way – giving residents their first-ever direct bus link to Milngavie, Bearsden and Glasgow city centre
As part of a wider refresh to services 15 and 17, we’re also introducing dawn-to-dusk travel, with buses running from 5am until just before midnight.
What this means:
• Half-hourly buses from Moorfoot Way
• Earlier services to connect with trains at Milngavie
• Later journeys home for shift workers and night-time travellers
These changes reflect the feedback we’ve heard from the community – and come as we celebrate 20 years of serving the region
I thought the 15 would of gotten a frequency increase tbh, always absolutely stowedFrom their Facebook page :-
Interestingly, VOSA Notices and Proceedings today is showing that Scottish Borders Council has registered a 34 between Duns and Kelso and a 34A between Wooler and Kelso starting 2nd March!Borders Buses service 34 between Duns, Swinton, Leitholm and Coldstream, introduced in May 2024, is to be withdrawn from the end of February. Its last day of operation will be February 27th.
(Source: VOSA which shows this service as a cancellation, effective from 28th February 2026.)
The 34 one I can fathom, as there has been a lot of complaints locally about poor connections in Coldstream for Kelso. The 34A one is interesting. I'm assuming this is to provide a link during the week between Wooler and Kelso, which Arriva provides on Saturdays with the X16.Interestingly, VOSA Notices and Proceedings today is showing that Scottish Borders Council has registered a 34 between Duns and Kelso and a 34A between Wooler and Kelso starting 2nd March!
The timetables have appeared on Traveline. The 34 runs Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The 34A runs Tuesday,Thursday and Saturday. Both routes run on the south side of the Tweed between Kelso and ColdstreamThe 34 one I can fathom, as there has been a lot of complaints locally about poor connections in Coldstream for Kelso. According to the VOSA local bus service registration website, Borders Buses 266 has been cancelled from 28th February. The 34A is presumably its replacement between Cornhill and Wooler though only running three days a week rather than six.Are these being jointly funded with Northumberland?
Timetables for the 34/34A are now up on BusTimes. I see that the 34A does a double run into Coldstream from Cornhill.According to the VOSA local bus service registration website, Borders Buses 266 has been cancelled from 28th February. Work currently being done by both WCM and Dunoon Community Council in regards of restoring the 907 Dunoon-Glasgow service.
Current timetable proposals are every 2 hours between Dunoon and Glasgow and every 20/30 minutes between Dunoon and Gourock, with there being a sketch timetable listed. The route is also set to become a limited stop, presumably between Gourock and Glasgow, which would mean Inverclyde would now get a fast bus to Glasgow. If the Glasgow journeys are equipped with coaches, then it could certainty deal a fair share of competition onto McGill's' Clydeflyer
If I had to guess the 907 is also meant to become a local service for Kirn, then I would predict the 480 be restored to its original route directly to HQHV via Upper Kirn and not along the Clyde coast

Would do a favour for Dunoon if it were to replace the ferryI wouldn’t hold your breath - this is the removal of the ferry to fund the service if to happen.
Govt want to cut the ferry times and they say this is more cost effective but as we know will take ages to happen
Problem is Western Ferries don't serve near the town centres of either Dunoon or Gourock so they get much less passenger usage, connections are also awful.TBF with western ferries running is the cal mac service needed , would the boats be better deployed elsewhere
From Monday 23 March, fares across the Borders Buses network will increase.
The fare increase includes circa 5% for on bus ticketing and circa 10% for app tickets.
We know any fare change isn’t welcome, so we want to be open about why this is happening.
Like many transport providers, we are facing increased operational costs, including fuel, maintenance and running our services. This fare update helps us continue to operate reliable bus services across the Borders and beyond.

The cal mac ferry at least connects with the train into Glasgow Central. Western ferries leaves you well outside either town centre and without any decent transport connection aside a bus stop.TBF with western ferries running is the cal mac service needed , would the boats be better deployed elsewhere
