I don't blame youMy only guess would be that they would not allow DMI’s to expire (if they do in a year) and they’d invite you in for MMI before it does anyway and then they have 5 years until your psychometrics expire and to offer you a position at applied depot.
That's the ideal outcome, I am in no rush to go as long as I know I am definitely in the running for a call.
The MMI shouldn't have changed at all recently, it should still be the same six questions as always and a behavioural test to shape the probing in the MMI.
It hasn’t changed as such. Mine just had the behavioural test before I sat my interview and my friend 6 months prior didnt have that I was just saying I think it’s an added thing SWR seem to be doing with the MMI’s now

Hi there! They haven't given a reason to why I failed. I've emailed and asked for feedback from the interview so I know where I went wrong. I can honestly say it was a shock as I felt so confident when leaving the interview. It was for the Guildford depot and I applied around September/October time.
Interesting. Was this at Waterloo? I applied in November for mine and was there start of December. I found it very laid back and was led through most of it. It was obvious from question 1 that I was through and like you, felt very confident and positive. I felt like from the simplicity of the questions asked it would be hard to fail. You will get another go... swr recruitment are very communicative so you should get some answers

Just as said below, you will do all at once and be in the room for just under an hour. When I did the same assessment day a few weeks ago we were waiting hours to be called in and it got quite frustrating. You will get your result on the day - they are simple tests if you prepare and understand the logic behind them. I just DM ed you. My DMI was at Waterloo, I reckon the interviews are prob done by the same people as they said they were Waterloo DM's.

The interview was held at Southampton by to DM's from fratton. I've had an email today to say they're going to call me next week regarding feedback so will be good to get some insight to as why I failed.

Hi, I had my MMI on Friday. There were 3 of us there for it. We sat around for the first 30 mins or so while they got our documents together, then we all went into a computer room and did some SJE questions where we had scenarios and we had to say whether these responses were helpful/unhelpful. That took about 30 mins or so. Then we went back to the waiting room, got assigned an interviewer, and were then taken individually to a room to give answers to 6 questions. They were questions like "give an example of a time you've had to deal with an emergency/unexpected situation", "give an example of a time when you had to work under pressure". I was given 30 mins to put down my answers (each about 20 words long, don't need to go into super detail), then back to the waiting room, and then to the actual interview where the interviewer goes through your questions and answers.
I had prepared a little before, and stuff like the emergency situation question I had an example in mind already before I went. I think it took all-in-all 4 and a half hours, spent about an hour or so overall having a break/waiting, rest of the time doing the SJE questions, MMI questions and answers/interview.Mate your a legend for this info, i'm sure this will help a lot of us out. This is the in-depth part, I gave a detailed explanation of my answer to one of the questions and then the interviewer would ask a bunch of questions and take notes and then move onto the next question. Interviewer said it can take 1-2 hours, I think for me it was around an hour and a half. A lot of it was about how I felt in said situation whether it was working under pressure, dealing with stress, working alone etc. I reiterated the importance of remaining calm, safety being number one priority where it was relevant in my scenario, following the rules not taking shortcuts (this was something pretty important to emphasise I think). If they offer you some water take it before the interview, you'll be doing a lot of talking and my mouth was rather dry by the end
Anyway, it went good and I passed

it's for the Bournemouth depot. Originally was going to be start of Feb for the training, but now (assuming I pass the medical) it'll be start of March. When’s your medical if you don’t mind, and keep us posted as I’ve seen varying things about having certain BMIs for the medical to be passed so would be intrigued to see how swr do it. The 6 months is just for SWR. As long as your psychometrics are current, fill your boots. Bear in mind psychometric assessments remain valid for between 1 and 5 years depending on TOC (usually 3 or 5 though).
Sometimes it’s down to who was the best fit on the day. They may have interviewed 20 people over the week for 3 or 4 posts, and all of them might well have been exceptional in their performance.
ah good luck! I think a few of the questions I got asked in the DMI at SWR and the sort of answers they were looking for overlapped with the sort of questions for the MMI too so if you do well with that it gives you a good chance hopefully. Medical's on Thursday, I'll keep you guys in the loop.
