I have my stage 1 Birmingham assessments on Wednesday, how many weeks/days was there between your stage 1 and stage 2 assessments and interview? Does it say like it did in stage 1 what will be included on the day for stage 2 and also how close to the assessment material they gave you was it on the day to the real thing? Sorry for so many questions!
I did my stage 1 on the 6th, got my results on the 12th and then got the invite for stage 2 on the 15th (which will take place on the 30th in Watford).

The assessment material is pretty accurate tbh. However, I would recommend finding the proper bourdon tests with dots rather than the ones they give you with letters. In my opinion it takes your eyes a bit of getting used to searching for dots of 4, so you're better practicing with the proper thing. Also, I would really practice the TEA-OCC beep tests - I found these the most difficult on stage 1, as for me panic set in slightly and I was second guessing myself a bit. I passed obviously and I would say this would have been down to getting my mrs to sit there beeping at me whilst I was looking through the phone directory.

Hope this helps mate, good luck.

Hi mate in order to get to your stage 1 did u have to pass the online test? And when did you apply if you don’t mind me asking
Hey mate, I did yes.

My initial application was the 04/11/25, I then was sent the OPC online test on the 01/12, found out I passed the sift on the 18/12, invitation to my in person OPC stage 1 on 08/12 and booked it for 22/01 been a fairly quick process so far. All the best for your application! :)

I’ve just had the email to say I had passed also and that as I have passed both my stage 1&2 already I’m in a talent pool awaiting DMI but with no confirmed date for this. I applied for Bletchley.
I passed my tests in August (for Shrewsbury) and still no DMI. It’s a loooooooong process

Anyone else pass their tests in August and still not heard anything about the DMI?

Passed my Stage 1 OPC in Birmingham last week and have been invited for Stage 2 in Watford next week. Is anyone able to confirm if the Stage 2 consists of the following:

• 3 computer based tests
• Situational Judgment
• MMI

Many thanks

I’ve applied to wolves just before Christmas and was told they will send me a online test to do in Jan or Feb so just waiting on that
So you’re on the online sift? Well done for getting to that point. You’re not timed on the online ones, so just take your time.

Stage 1 I did on 8th and stage 2 I have on the 27th. This time the interview will be a week after if I pass stage 2. Whereas I’ve read previously they have had the interview at stage 2 as well.
No, they’ve sent me the same practice sheets again but I’m assuming this time it’s the Wafv, Atavt and the 2 hand Co-ordination test.
It was similar, but not the same. Use the bourdon programme on here if you search for it. That’s very good practice to have!
TRP 1 was as it said… read a passage and memorise.
TRP 2, that one was a little different. It had 4 sections which were zones with different colours. These also had numbers on as well. The practice ones are just different colours.
Tea-Occ - is the beeps and circling the double symbols. Listen for the low tones. Every beep starts as a low beep. Use your hands to count if that helps!

If you need any more guidance just ask, no need to apologise. I just hope I can be of some help!

On the email I got the MMI is the week after if you pass stage 2. Not sure about you but I did the SJT test as part of the online sift.

Interesting, there's nothing in the emails I received to suggest that the MMI will be on a separate date. Guess I’ll have to do some more digging to try and find out. Thanks for the reply

No worries, I got it in a separate email if that helps.
“If you are successful at stage 2, you will be asked to attend an interview in Birmingham on the 3rd or 4th February, just so you can make any provisions you need for your diary.”

Hi mate is stage 1 in person? And when did you apply also

Everything other than the online sift is in person. Once you've done your online tests, everything you will be invited to after that will be in person.

I applied in March last year.

After a bit of proactive contact following being told I have to resit Stage 1 despite passing it to enhanced last year, I have finally been given Stage 2 dates.

The choice was Thursday 05/02/2026 or Monday 19/02/2026.

That’s correct, yes. I hate interviews, would rather sit more tests
Oh wow fast process MMI and DMI super close together. Yeah me too it's hard being on the spot but I'm sure you'll smash it. All the best!

Hi Everyone, I apologise as I am sure this has been asked already - I have received an invite for stage 2.

I previously sat stage 1 + 2 with GTR last year and passed all but the MMI. The email states that I will be sitting stage 2? Does WMT make you resit everything again?

Thank you in advance.

Hey I hope this helps.

I finally have my stage 1 on beginning of Feb. You have to pass your online test first and then the next phase is OPC stage 1 testing. Everyone is different in terms of how low they have to wait but I applied in January 2025. I have waited many months to get to this point

Does anyone know if the proof off address (utility bill) needed for OPC stage 1 needs to be printed or can be shown from your phone. Only asking so I know if I need to find a printer to print stuff off

Hi Guys does anyone know where I can get this information.

I wanted to know if you become successful and start training what the salary is.. I also wanted to know when you get your first pay increase. Some people are saying it's 6 months after you start training.

Just asking as I am taking a paycut joining WMT and just needed to know how long I'd have to financially plan (childcare etc) before going back up to a decent pay.

Does anyone know the structure of pay?

Thanks in advance

You should only have to resit what you haven't passed (IE the MMI) or any other tests WMT may use that GTR does not (I'm not aware if there are any)

I'm pretty sure it starts off at £35k, when the salary increases are i'm not sure.

Hey! All done, it was okay I think? Literally the exact same as the practice materials and the beep test is very easy just gets harder towards the end. The bit I struggled with most I think is the group bourdon test but shall wait and see what happens next week. Good luck everyone.
