41241 this weekend then the coal tank for 2 weekends and then 78022 for a weekend (with the diesel railbus taking the diesel turn for the 4 weekends mentioned) , I don’t see 52044 anywhere though.
52044 is undergoing a retube. Hopefully will reappear next month.

Just read that KWVR will be reintroducing footplate experiences.
75078 is no longer on the website for the steam gala and images of it in have been removed

Sounds like it would be more at home on the Epping & Ongar Railway!

Given the location, West Yorkshire PTE livery would be more fitting.
It fits with the red-ish theme!

Presumably, the person who made the substantial donation got a say in the matter…

Timetables are now available online for the period up to and including 1st November. The online timetable is here: https://kwvr.co.uk/visiting-the-kwvr/timetable/

And a download is available here: https://kwvr.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/KWVR-Timetable.pdf

Note that 28th - 31st March have changed from the timetables originally advertised so that the 'new' timetables do not start in the middle of the week and to ensure that the Easter midweek operating period has the same timetable throughout rather than changing over in the middle of the week between Tuesday and Wednesday.

The London Transport livery is authentic for this locomotive, as it was withdrawn from BR in January 1963 and sold to London Transport, where it was in service until 1970.

It's an interesting one. It's fictional Great North & South Railway livery from The Railway Children (1970) is an iconic and unique livery for this particular Pannier tank, and it's a shame it will not return to steam with this livery. But the new London Transport livery is accurate to the history of 5775, and it's still a nice livery and something different from other GWR locos in GWR green or BR black.

It would be nice if it got the opportunity to be a guest at one of the Epping and Ongar Railway steam galas.

Apparently I’ve heard that 5775 is doubtful to be ready before 2030

I can see 5775 being a popular visiting engine at other heritage railways

Sounds like a long time but its only 4 years away now!

Does anyone know how long is left on the contract with Riley's for 45212's use by the way?

A genuine LOL for that - dreadful!
I'm particularly impressed by the station sign :)

Particularly pleasing to see a 2-train timetable on almost all weekdays.

Timetables with allocations for the steam gala are available on the website.

I've already worked my moves out for the Saturday. Red pen poised and ready.

I've just read that we are getting a Europhoenix 37 at the Diesel Gala.

Nice.
