It's been a while since the last 197 has entered service, who knows when the next one will slip into use.

Yes its been a good few months but hopefully not too much longer. It took me ages to get 197026. It just wasnt where i needed it to be until I got it yesterday. Using the Cambrian units in other areas of the network has certainly saved a few trips up to Shrewsbury!

Seeing as the weather was a bit damp today (although dried up enough for a speed walk between Waterloo & Euston) I decided on a little red pen day, getting lucky with my last active 730/2 being on "Tring Keynes" services rather than Crewe or Birmingham services (i.e. the ones nonstop Euston to Milton Keynes or Leighton Buzzard). Down to just, 701010 of the active 701s, at least this week the ones I wanted stayed out, rather than being on the diagrams which sees the units rest during the day at Clapham/Wimbledon etc like they were last Thursday when the weather was also quite damp)
