Certainly suggests it, like the 10/10A used to albeit on a different routing (that was a loop using the B3318 direct to Pendeen).
That would be great - would give Morvah a bus service again and the Portheras Cross end of Pendeen.

Still can divert down to Boscaswell Village / Estate.

Shame can't be a 10 / 10A as many years ago but the 10 is currently Plymouth - Polperro. Perhaps some renumbering in time....

Hopefully the timetables will be available soon, which includes a bus arriving into Penzance around 0830 on a Saturday from St Just / Pendeen.

Yes, there's a lot of worry and uncertainty among those who rely on buses at the moment so I hope details are published as soon as possible and not the usual week or two before the changes. Now the registrations have been accepted there's no reason why details can't be published now, even if actual timetables appear a bit later.

Hopefully there'll be sufficient timetable books printed this time round as well, unlike the debacle in September!

Totally agree - should be on-line at least by the end of this week as the services have been registered.

Hope they go back to area based timetable booklets - one for West Cornwall / Mid Cornwall / East & North Cornwall. Yes some over lapping services in each but far easier to carry around.

Quite big reductions there the 14/18 down to hourly at the West end. 17+87 both hourly. 86 No longer going to Newquay. 25 No longer going to Fowey. Only one service an hour to Helston from Penzance. At least it's a start though and the routes are covered.

Go South West timetables in pdf format, presumably the commercial routes, are available here
https://www.transportforcornwall.co...etables-now-available-february-service-launch

routes 1,2(3),4,6,15,17,18(14), 24,25,27,29,32,33,85(86),87

These are indicative with detailed amendments possibly to come.
Presumably there are contract route changes to also come.

It is a start although one thing noticeable is that the through Newquay - Falmouth link ceases to exist with a change in Truro once again necessary although I believe the revisions to the Par - Newquay train may provide that link starting later in 2026. Rather a step-up for Pendeen and St. Just which go up to 2bph for much of the week. As for the 25 I wouldn't be surprised if the differences in route between the 24 and 25 cause a degree of confusion with passengers. One idea might have been to drop the 25 completely and to instead increase the frequency of, and extend, the 23 to run Gorran Haven to St. Blazey. Either way the webpage does say that the timetables are largely final so there may yet be further amendments.

The only other thing is that I wonder why the Goldsithney terminators on Service 2 haven't been renumbered as 2A to avoid confusion with the existing Service 2A becoming 2S. The Service 2 journeys to Helston presumably continue to Falmouth after a short stop at Helston Sainsburys so the link there is maintained.

There may, of course, be changes to other routes in connection with this.

Surprised the new 6 hasn’t attracted the ire of some?
It could do although looking at it on Google Maps it occurs to me that the Harbour stop is perhaps not tbe best placed of bus stops? If someone came down the hill on a bike or in a car and didn't know the bus stop was there ..... also there isn't much space for other vehicles to pass if you put a bus there: I wonder if that stop has caused problems for other road users.

I not Mousehole Harbour loses its service.

Do they perhaps lack a suitably small vehicle for going down there?

Probably more that it requires a very small vehicle to fit there? Looks to me that you can get to the Old Coastguard with a full size single decker.

Looks like massive cuts in Penzance and St Ives with the 17, and what was the T1/T2 going hourly, imagine the reaction on this forum if it was First proposing these cuts? Will there be a summer uplift? And if there is will it be a long summer uplift or just high season?

Fowey has lost half its service and Falmouth University campus loses out as well

No service to Mousehole Harbour either won’t go down well considering how we were constantly told how important that was

Did a Double decker down there just before Christmas so will be fine, surely a 2000 series 200MMC would fit down to the Harbour

Why did First used to use the tiny little minibuses, then? I've been on it, and I recall it being extremely tight even with the minibus. Are we perhaps thinking of different bits?

I don't think getting the vehicle down there would be the problem so much as turning one but perhaps I am wrong.

I don't know how busy the 17 gets under First Kernow because whenever my last employers used to send me on errands to pick up at St. Ives, or if I had to go from Penzance to St. Ives. I would always use the train, rather than the bus, out of preference. I think I only once ever got on a bus from St. Erth and that was to get to Crowlas: a double-decker Service 17 which, IIRC, wasn't even near ¼ full. As for the T1 / T2, soon to be 14 / 18, I can only presume that perhaps Camborne - Truro is the busiest part of those routes but again I could be wrong.

As for Falmouth Uni the link between Falmouth and Tremough is maintained by Service 3, 32A and 33 giving a total of 4bph during much of the week as per the timetables linked into.

It may well be that there are service revisions again in the near future depending on feedback received and on how busy things get but I agree there are a few holes being left here.

Before the Minibuses it was Solos/SRs so I can't see a short 200 MMC having trouble but maybe I'm mistaken. I should of clarified the Decker was to the Coastguard Hotel.

They were the narrow Solos in the shortest length (the sort with a single leaf door). Think that's what it was when I did it.

Ah, that was my exact point - specifically, that Go are perhaps truncating to the Old Coastguard *specifically* so they can use a bigger bus, either because they don't have a suitable smaller one or because they think the route is busy enough in summer to need to use a bigger one anyway.

It's a really short walk, so this probably makes sense, and probably for safety too as on the harbour you're basically standing in the road to wait for it. I've done it, it's a lovely quirk, but it doesn't make an awful lot of operational sense.

Having never caught the route from the Harbour - only going on foot that makes complete sense from your description.

As I said in a previous reply I can't imagine it being very easy to turn a small bus at the Harbour stop and the stop at the Old Coastguard Hotel doesn't look any easier for turning either so where do First turn the vehicles? The minibuses might be turnable by the Harbour stop if you are careful with that right-hand turn from Parade Hill onto Commercial Road but I wouldn't like to try it with anything bigger!

I wonder if they’ve reduced the PVR as it’s only half hourly now…

The harbour turn is and always has been right from North Cliff into Fore Street then reversing in South Street.

You can essentially turn anything at the Coastguards by reversing up Parkyn Road. The double decks on the 9 do it, as do 13m triaxle coaches in the summer. It's tight, but somehow works.

The issue is the location of the stop - it can only be served once turned by reversing along the road. Hardly ideal and some drivers simply don't do it.

I remember the year when First ran the double deck ‘CAT’ route and it wasn’t clear where abouts to wait at The Old Coastguards

Another quirky terminus that looks to be being lost is the Fowey Safe Harbour Inn terminus, the alternative stop, like in Mousehole, is further up the hill away from the village centre

It's always like that when buses don't serve the harbour during the Christmas lights. I popped over before Christmas and noted three consecutive buses doing three different things, which resulted in leaving a lot of people behind!

Half the battle was just ensuring people knew the harbour stop wasn’t being used.
Would have helped if there was a notice on it.

The other issue was that the website stated that the harbour wouldn't be served after 17:00. In practice it was at least 30 min earlier, seemingly up to each individual driver! It's a mess that happens annually.

Absolutely - just lack of management.

Clearly suggests First will have to find a home for the Sprinters.

Go Ahead appear to be more risk averse than First so it does not surprise me to see that the Harbour at Mousehole and the Safe Harbour at Fowey will no longer be served. Is there a safe pedestrian route from the Harbour to the Old Coastguards? It has been a very long time since my last visit. There were Bristol SUs and Harvey’s Albion Nimbus running the route back then.

There's a couple of ways, via the road up Parade Hill, or avoiding the road, but up a very steep hill.

Yes, very poor and it's been going on for years!

Quite a few people live at the far end of Mousehole and it is a fair walk to the Harbour stop. Now they will have to walk even further to find a bus.
