reminds me of some rubbish statistics I saw on an ALEX train on saturday, amongst other meaningless numbers was 89% would recommend ALEX services to their friends. For god sake why?

• the coaches are ancient
• the seats are uncomfortable
• the fares are the same as any other operator on the same line
• the bloody train from Pilsen to Munich on Saturday was 1h30m late due to breaking down in the middle of nowhere

If they are the old DB Regio stock they are still more comfortable than bouncy Pacers with slabs for seats...

Pacers can be terribly comfortable, just kidding, I'd rather stand on a packed one than sit as the legroom is shocking, I'm only 6ft and have size 11 feet, its not a nice experience.

In terms of visibility and comfort it is hard to beat a bus seat 142 on a scenic route if it is not too full and you can get one of the 3 person benches to yourself. You can spread your legs out and take in the views unimpeded by seat backs.

I completely agree.

They are great for taking in the views, even at the rist of DVT!

Visibility, yes. Comfort, no. The lack of seat backs get uncomfortable after about half an hour for me, I end up leaning against the wall as it is more comfy.

Then of course, there's the slabs on the Miseryfail Pacers, which is inevitably what turns up.

Nigerian comfort.....
