EMR Meridian unpleasant vibration

Travelling on the 10.03 service this morning from STP - SHF, 222022, a 5 coach formation, travelling in coach 4. Have to say, I have not been up to Sheffield for a year or so, normally travelling LNER ECML, and the vibration levels are not good at all, ranging from just about tolerable to unpleasant, at its worse moving cups on the table, and making reading tiring.

Is this normal for these DMUs? Is it the track or the traction?

It's pretty normal when travelling at top speed I've noticed (125mph) but the trains aren't in great condition and aren't maintained too well either. The Auroras are a much better train!

Travelled on a five car set in November (in the FC driving car) and couldn't work out if the engine was actually running or not at times - hefty amounts of vibration (especially just before or when setting off), then near silence when running at speed and at stations.

A shame these trains don't seem to have been looked after very well as they aren't too bad inside. Strangely reminiscent of later BR Mk IIcs and ds inside in terms of seat design, decor, and general condition!

It was suprisingly bad. Returning via Doncaster and now on the LNER Azuma, a world of difference.
Would have liked to try the Aurora, but will have to wait as it wasn't listed until 11.30 I think.

Will the 222s get maintained better when they're with Lumo?
