Somebody left grandpa alone with his phone. This is one of the hundred-plus DJT posts over Christmas:
Merry Christmas to all, including the many Sleazebags who loved Jeffrey Epstein, gave him bundles of money, went to his Island, attended his parties, and thought he was the greatest guy on earth, only to “drop him like a dog” when things got too HOT, falsely claimed they had nothing to do with him, didn’t know him, said he was a disgusting person, and then blame, of course, President Donald J. Trump, who was actually the only one who did drop Epstein, and long before it became fashionable to do so. When their names get brought out in the ongoing Radical Left Witch Hunt (plus one lowlife “Republican,” Massie!), and it is revealed that they are Democrats all, there will be a lot of explaining to do, much like there was when it was made public that the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax was a fictitious story - a total Scam -and had nothing to do with “TRUMP.” The Failing New York Times, among many others, was forced to apologize for their bad and faulty Election “Reporting,” even to the point of losing many subscribers due to their highly inaccurate (FAKE!) coverage. Now the same losers are at it again, only this time so many of their friends, mostly innocent, will be badly hurt and reputationally tarnished. But sadly, that’s the way it is in the World of Corrupt Democrat Politics!!! Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas! President Donald J. Trump

Dear goodness, that is a depressing read. One of the most powerful politicians on the planet spouting like that weird uncle who spends all his time getting on people's nerves down the local...

My uncles weren't nearly as weird as that! Why is DJT threatening that this is our last Merry Christmas? After all, he will still be in power next year so shouldn't he be forecasting the start of the Trump Golden Age?

I believe that these posts by the dear leader have not actually been written by him at for some time. His previous posts were conspicuous for being short and snappy rants riddled with spelling and grammar errors. Where as these are long tedious rants with fewer errors (apart from huge errors of logic, history and generally departing from reality). I suspect this is done by a junior staffer who has just fed them through a second rate AI bot.

Any staffer, junior or otherwise, would surely be strenuously avoiding any mention of Epstein in order to try and divert people's attention (as if that was possible), rather than waving a huge "look over here" sign like that, no?

As to the change in posting style, it pretty much mirrors the changes in his speaking style as well. He used to be a reasonably eloquent idiot, now he rambles, repeats himself and stumbles over his words.

I reckon it's a combination of the two: he is rambling, but the social media posts are now mostly done by someone else. After all, his repetitive behaviours/language style have been impersonated by lots of people over the years all over the internet.

He will most likily ban Christmas, and say its now Trumpmas, and that everyone must worship his likeness, or be sent to Salvador,
anything to stop people asking about his associations with very unsavoury people over many years, Drain the swamp? He is the Swamp.

...that depends.

Doubt it, while the Democrats will probably gain the House in November I can't see them trying another impeachment unless he does something seriously wrong. Let's face it another impeachment would just be a seen publicity stunt given the senate will still be GOP controlled and the Democrats won't be anywhere near the 67 votes needed to convict.

He's old and in poor health, there is a significant probability he will be die before his term ends.

But don't assume what comes after will be any better.

I have to say that my feeling is that Vance, even though he may less irrational, is a much nastier character. In particular, I feel that he is much more isolationist and hostile to both Europe and NATO than Trump is. He may be less directly helpful to Putin than Trump, but may do just as much damage indirectly.

Realistically I think JD Vance will be the nominee for the GOP in 2028 and I think he will win. This is not an endorsement of his but let's be honest the Democrats are not in a good way at the moment. The Democrats are very divided and seem to lack direction.

As noted above, this is a feature of the US electoral system. There's no such thing as a "leader of the opposition" so parties tend to be disorganised until the presidential electoral cycle starts. If they're still just as rudderless come the end of 2027 then we'll have something to worry about.

I am aware of that however, they are massively disorganised at the moment, particularly on their direction. There is the debate within the party of if they want to follow a Bernie Sanders socialist direction or a Joe Biden centrist direction. Also given the record of the Biden administration such as refusing to bring in universal free healthcare (which he has always opposed) and his strong support for Israel (which has always been the case) I think many socialists within the Democrats such as AOC would struggle to get behind another centrist nominee.

But have you factored in that enough voters may vote against the Republicans because of the economic pain and all the other issues that the current administration are causing that are upsetting voters? Those factors have to be taken into account as well as the Democratic party getting it's act together and putting forward a charismatic presidential nominee with a wide appeal.

History suggests they won’t get their act together. I could see them getting Hilary to run again, they’re that tone deaf.

I can't see Clinton running again but Kamala Harris is thinking about it which given how badly she lost I don't think is a good idea. I know it was a minor suggetions but I did read somewhere that some in the Democrat Party thought Biden should run again which I thought no just no.

Biden could well be dead by the time the primaries come round, given his prostate cancer, or at the very least completely incapable of running a campaign, which should keep those voices quiet. We won't know for sure until the primaries actually start, then we will see who is putting themselves forward and their ideas; there could easily be a dark horse candidate who draws in support that we don't know about yet. I don't see Harris winning a primary contest, especially if someone like Newsom is going for it.

Who do you think would be a good candidate for them to put forward?
You would be looking at a very small field of candidates like Newsom, AOC or Pritzker.

No doubt someone else would come to the fore in the next 18 months or so who might make a credible run.

Gavin Newsom I think would be the best option he is charismatic, looks/acts relatively young, isn't a "socialist".
Cory Booker I think would have a resonable chance. as would Andy Beshear. Pete Buttigieg I think would ok for similar reasons. Had Kamala Harris not been "appointed" the Democratic nominee in 2024 and an actual primary taken place I think Gavin Newsom would have been the nominee.

AOC I think would be an awful choice given she openly claims to be a socialist which is a massive no in the United States. Also other things like her support for free healthcare and her stance on the Israel and Palestine conflict would sink her.
