I have been keeping an eye on a service that will run tomorrow: 0Z61 1003 Willesden Dc Rail Sidings to Rectory Jn (Colwick Colas) as I would really like to see a class 56, but I'm not quite sure how to find out what loco will be running this service, I would really appreciate any thoughts on how to find this out.

Yes it should be the 56s going into store

You may be getting slightly confused, if it is the 56s they will be DCR locos for maintenance not Colas locos for storage

Thank you for the insight, tbh I mainly just would really like to see a class 56 of any livery while they are still operating on the mainline so I was very excited to hear that's what it was gonna be as I haven't seen one at all before!

Definitely 88002 - I was the driver on it from Crewe to Trafford Park! It’s working back with 4B43 to Daventry as well later.
