Hopefully. Does anyone here know the actual protocol with West Midlands travel then? From my understanding - apply, online tests, OPC tests at the centre, interview, then start job?
And how long is this process from start to finish around 12 months or longer?

Same here, for Bletchley.
I’ve just had the email to say I had passed also and that as I have passed both my stage 1&2 already I’m in a talent pool awaiting DMI but with no confirmed date for this. I applied for Bletchley.

Same here! Congrats! I also applied for Wolves and got rejected quickly. I then applied for the New St/Snow Hill role that is currently active as that is the closest depot to me and I mentioned that in my application. I know this a ‘how long is a piece of string’ type question but how long do we expect to be in the talent pool for? And are we confirmed to now for OPC stage 1 or is it a case of as and when they need new recruits they will go through candidates in the pool and then put us forward for those? Any info is always appreciated! Thanks!

Colleagues of mine at a BHM based TOC were in the pool for BHM when they opened beginning of this year. They’re still in the pool awaiting OPC invites. You are confirmed to have made it to testing, however, when that will be is unconfirmed. It can be a waiting game when it comes to railway recruitment. Best thing to do is just switch off for now, enjoy Christmas and wait for the email whenever that is. When they need you, they’ll contact you.

Finally got my invite for opc stage one testing few weeks ago

Question for the people in the know, If we have all been put in this talent pool, I assumed that was code for "everyone is going on holiday for xmas and you will hear back in the new year", but having read the thread, could it mean will here nothing for 12 - 18 months? I just want to make sure I am not barking up the wrong end of the tree. Or is it railway time, it could be next week, it could be next year who knows?
To put it into perspective for you - I have been in a talent pool for 3 years. Still waiting for "the call"

Talent pool for West Midlands travel? I have a cousin who’s in a talent pool for cov for 2 years now and has not had a call either. But he doesn’t live that local maybe around 55 minutes away from that depot

I applied Jan 25, start jan 26. I could have started sooner but needed to give 3 months notice in my current role
