Anyone know when it’s likely to show on RTT?

Hmm, I had a wee look myself based on the timings on the Railway Touring Company's website but couldn't find anything.

Perhaps it will only appear early tomorrow morning.

RTT only updates a few times a day, so VSTPs can be delayed in showing. The timings appeared on Railcam several hours earlier.

It's been a trend recently. Most tours I've checked in the last few weeks have only appeared less than 24 hours before.

Aside - the loco from this railtour is returning to Southall as 5Z21. Was it turned at York somehow, so that it is the right way round? If so, how? My latest TrackMaps (fifth edition, dated 2020) doesn't show a triangle any more.

edit, I see it’s going down the MML instead of the ECML.

There is the Network Rail turntable at York, up by the former Thrall Works, now NR's Holgate Depot for the RHTT fleet. Other options are to diesel-haul to Gascoigne Wood, reverse then use the other side of the triangle to Milford Junction.

The reference to Thrall is an anachronism caused by the lack of updates to location names on TOPS/TRUST. Thrall only operated Holgate works for five years (1997-2002). Network Rail has operated it since 2009 - now over three times longer than it was ever under Thrall's operation.

Yep that's right, it was on the turntable and left on the avoider line. Does the Railcam show the turntable?
