Hello,

I want to travel from the airport to London using my Chiltern Railways weekend free travel (because of buying a season from Chiltern)

Should I travel to New Street and walk to Moor Street, or is there somewhere else on the Chiltern route that I could buy a ticket to from the airport?

It will be on a Sunday evening when the Chiltern line

many thanks

You could travel to Leamington Spa to connect with Chiltern Railways, but if travelling on the 28th and 29th august you cannot do this due to enginerring works between Coventry and Leamington Spa.

Can i ask what your season ticket actually is? is it routed any permitted or chiltern only?

Your main alternatives are:

train to New Street
or bus to Solihull no 966
or train to leamington

Train to Leamington would be quickest if no works are taking place

If it's after 6:30pm I'd go via New St to take advantage of Centro's evening saver (just be sure to ask for a return instead of a single). At £2 it will be marginally more expensive than the 966 (£1.80) but you'll save time.

Even if you don't travel after half 6 then it'll still be cheaper to go to New St than Leamington Spa but it will cost you in time.

It's not irrelevant; it's possible the season might include validity at Birmingham International on non-Chiltern services.

And which season destinations might that be then?

A Chiltern season to Brum is routed High Wycombe....and isn't any permitted to New Street either

That's not right. A London Terminals - Birmingham Stns route High Wycombe season ticket is permitted by map CS:

Marylebone - West Ruislip - Banbury - Leamington Spa - Coventry - Birmingham Group

where the Group Stations list defines Birmingham Group as:

Aston, Birmingham Moor Street, Birmingham New Street, Birmingham Snow Hill, Duddeston

It is valid via Birmingham International.
