mods note as of 12/5/2026 the current diagrams are in this post:

With entry into service finally imminent a request for anyone with information to post details here. My understanding is that two sets will be in service in early December with five more in Q1 2026.

the only information I have seen so far on the Introduction thread is departures as follows, although I am not sure how valid this is:

1C17 0700 Sheffield - St Pancras International
1F32 1132 St Pancras International - Sheffield
1C59 1400 Sheffield - St Pancras International
1D61 1705 St Pancras International - Nottingham
1B88 1913 Nottingham - St Pancras International
1F82 2132 St Pancras International - Sheffield

I have seen that reported as diagram DY701 which starts Tuesday 25 November 2025

Next diagram DY702 I have seen reported which starts 1 December 2025 is :

1B07 0549 Nottingham - St Pancras International
1F15 0803 St Pancras International - Sheffield
1C38 1038 Sheffield - St Pancras International
1F40 1302 St Pancras International - Sheffield
1C68 1537 Sheffield - St Pancras International
1D66 1805 St Pancras International - Nottingham
1B94 2011 Nottingham - St Pancras International
1F85 2232 St Pancras International - Sheffield

I've also seen on Twitter that there is planned to be a Saturday diagram for the 29th - does anyone know if this is true, and which it will be?

The first weekday one is currently a 7 car so if true it maybe one of them.

Posts 1 and 2 are correct (although DY702 starts 2nd December). Following diagram will be DY703 which is

1C11 05:56 SHF - STP 08:08
1F17 08:32 STP - SHF 10:42
1C41 11:00 SHF - STP 13:08
1D43 13:35 STP - NOT 15:07
1B67 15:50 NOT - STP 17:24
1F65 18:02 STP - SHF 20:02
1C98 21:01 SHF - STP 23:16
1D88 23:35 STP - NOT 02:19

Beyond that I'm not too sure, but as an educated guess I would say the two 5 car non-multi diagrams unless set swaps start happening to suit operational needs better

Not sure on Saturdays but one thing I noticed today on Genius (internal site) is that some services are showing as coaches A-E which will be the formation of 810s, which suggests they will soon be worked by them. Only thing is I can't remember which ones I saw them on!

I can confirm the usual 7 car 222 on 1C17 this morning. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.

In case anyone wants to track it, the first service (based on the above) is this one

He's saying that will be the third 810 diagram at a later date isn't he? Not the first diagram starting tomorrow, which is this one below...

That train had a reasonably clear run northbound except for a late freight train ahead of it between Kettering and Wigston making it more than 10 mins late. Clear run from Leicester northbound but couldn't reduce the deficit by much. It enjoyed a reasonably clear run southbound too. Seemed to lose a couple of minutes between Sheffield and Chesterfield due to a late running XC voyager, but leaving Leicester 2 mins late it managed an on time arrival at St Pancras in around 61 to 62 mins.
Be interesting to see how the 810 performs if it indeed is allocated.

Trains being held up by freight trains between Kettering and Kilby Bridge Jn. (Wigston) happens all time. I do wonder if when the 810s get going more will be sent via Manton.

So Class 810 definitely not entering service tomorrow? Any idea why?
I don’t think that’s what’s being said but it’s confusing now. I think Someone posted diagram up thread that’s not going to 810 tomorrow aiui. But one diagram IS due to be 810 tomorrow.

A second diagram starting early December

Might be handy if any confusing post was edited with strikethrough perhaps.

Or am I confused?

Or wait till the morning to see what goes out

Edit: another 810 thread saying diagram not operating tomorrow now. In case anyone not seen that.

Yes you're correct, I should have made that a bit clearer! However...

...what's changed? I had it on very good authority until just a few hours ago that it were 1C17

so now the suggestion is a start next week?
That's the rumour. It ties in better with EMR stating the 810's will start in December.
It's not just the trains that have to be ready but all the staff too, whether that be maintenance staff, train staff, station staff etc. Running a few test trains is one thing, but actually being ready to cope with passengers is another.
I recall some early Avanti Class 805 services being cancelled where there was a driver but not a train manager who had completed training enough to take the train.

Thank you. Yes, all relevant points.
Assume if it does start next week it will probably / possibly be in the same 2 diagrams that that were indicated up thread (if 2 sets start that is).

Why. Manton adds a lot of time , you can't serve Market Harborough and you need to do a reverse movement for Leicester.

Better option would have been to put the late running freight out from Wellingborough behind the two intercity services. It had waiting time at Wigston anyway. And further waiting on North side of Leicester.

From what I’ve heard, priority is to replace 7 car Meridian diagrams first so quite likely. As always though, we wait and see

Freight trains are often on time at Kettering North Jn. but have to wait for late running passengers both up and down before being let out on to the Mk. Harborough line

News emerging that a broken lavatory on the class 810 set is the cause of Tuesday's cancellation and apparently not a quick fix.

Quote from chime whistle publishing on X stating the info comes from an EMR source:
https://x.com/ChimeWhistle/status/1993390847690449054?t=apezTD7h6Rp0Nv5q-Snfmg&s=19
"Just had another DM from an EMR source, saying that the 810 lavatory problem is so complex, that someone from Hitachi is being flown in to fix it. Could see the hoped for Thursday launch also cancelled, if it's not fixed in time."
Posted here.
