Could some ex TfW 150s go to GWR?

Fair enough, this was based on the notion 175s taking over Okehampton will lead to 3-car formations.

I assume these 150s will get a quick GWR sticker applied to the sides and then remain in TfW white/grey as they won't be around long.

When are the next few TFW 150s getting stood down? I know 254 is next in January but I don't know which are after that.

There aren't many 150s left due for scrap. But given TFW are still seeing regular short forms and struggling 197 availability, can they really spare them?

You have to feel that TfW need the 150s until they cannot use them any more.

The various cascades in the Cardiff Metro project are an issue.

The 197s as you say, but then the 197s are also covering Mk4s. There is another source of need for 150s there.

GWR just need to focus on getting the 175s into service and then progressing Churchward.

If GWR are pursuing options for a short term lease on some TfW it’ll be because they are going off-lease. The decision is going to be entirely independent of whether someone else wants them. Whether they should go off lease is another matter.

No chance TFW 150s going anywhere, I hear TFW 153s are coming out of storage because there's a 150 shortage.
