Today I was trying to go from pitsea to West Ham. According to Trainline there is an 11:50 that’s only a half hour journey. But according to National Rail app this doesn’t exist and it’s only the slow trains?

What am I missing?

According to RTT it shows as "cancelled due to the planned cancellation (was not planned to operate)" as per the image above. Is there engineering work taking place on the route this weekend as RTT is showing some others replaced by RRB.

Buses replace trains today between Pitsea and Laindon, as well as engineering work between Liverpool Street and Barking. Trainline is showing you the direct train that would’ve ran via Basildon to Liverpool Street if the engineering works weren’t taking place, but they are. National Rail is showing the correct journeys for today.

I have no idea why Trainline thinks that 11:50 was meant to stop at West Ham though…

thanks all. I used the Greater Anglia to buy the tickets and that also thought the 1150 was running and stopped at West Ham!
