Excellent news! Glad to hear that someone else has had the offer.I'm very pleased to say that I've just had a call from the Talent Acquisition Team at Avanti. I've been offered a position on a course starting March 9th. In case anyone didn’t read this thread in its entirety, I was one of the 2022 candidates and applied for Manchester.
The next step is the medical, which will be booked within the next three weeks.
“Excited” is an understatement.

Has anyone been contacted in regards to whether their details still remain the same?
Yes mate. About 4 weeks agoHas anyone been contacted in regards to whether their details still remain the same?
Always good to hear a positive story lolLong time lurker here - I applied in Feb 23 for Liverpool......Passed psychometrics in December 23 and have had the same sporadic updates as everyone else since - Awaiting DMI.
The last update that I had was via an email on 24th March this year, with a few spelling mistakes.
I don't wish to dash anyone's hopes, but two former colleagues work out of Liverpool and they tell me that they have spare drivers most days.
I applied for another TOC and have been successful, I'd advise anyone else to do the same. No planning or forsight has gone into these recruitment campaigns, I do feel this big recruitment drive in 22 & 23 was instigated by the threat of losing the franchise - a kneejerk 'look what we're doing to fix the issue'.
I know that Railway recruitment is slow (I work in the industry), but this campaign has been such a mixed bag.
Just my experience, and I wish anyone in the process the absolute best of luck going forward.

Thank you,Congratulations!
I noticed in correspondence that AWC mention being taken out of the talent pool (post successful DMI) based on "score order"
Theoretically then, you could stay in there forever, if the pool gets added to with applicants who scored higher in the recruitment process.
Just a thought.
Yes enjoy the wait I’ve been waiting two years in may however you might have high scores and leap over a few candidates my email said in 2024 there will be course throughout 24/25 I’m guessing yours will say course throughout 26/27Polmadie Candidate here. Just had the news that I have passed my DMI and successfully added to the polmadie talent pool. Just wondering if anyone on here is already in the talent pool for polmadie ?

Well they are pulling the wool over everyone’s peepers then or their pants downAt my recent DMI I was told worst case scenario the wait for a course would be between 18 to 24 months....

Great news mate. CongratulationsWell despite having suffered with flu all week, I’ve been on cloud 9 having been contacted by Avanti to start a training course in Jan 26! I can only assume it must have been a dropout due to the close time frame in which I start.
I hope this gives some encouragement to those still waiting, as I’ve been in the talent bank for 3 years myself.
Looking forward to seeing those on the January course
