Hi, you can try going onto realtime trains and search last Sunday's workings. It shows the units that worked, so you'll find the 455s. It will likely not be 100% (engineering work and withdrawals) but it's a good guide.

Hello, would anyone happen to have this Sundays planned 455 workings?

It's potentially the last full day I will have to see these units. And I have a few requirements before I never see the 455's again - sad day really as that's what I learnt to drive on.

As others have said, RTT is probably your best bet, and check same first thing Sunday morning. Given shift patterns of those who allocate the units (by painted number) to services, most, if not all allocations should be in place prior to 07.00 on Sunday, so depending from where you have to travel to get to the SW inner area you'd still have many hours of 455 chasing to do I suspect..

A quick look suggests there are no trains to Guildford this Sunday and stopping services are diverted to Woking. Not sure if any terminate at Epsom/Effingham/Leatherhead; you'll need to check.

I'm pretty sure I drove 5872 last Sunday, and I had a late start from the yard with it, so I won't forget that unit.
Not sure what the other unit was, hopefully I have the old diagram in my locker.
Happy memories of it, I guess, had to call for a fitter. Minor problem with the cab door.

Yes, 5872 LE with 5723 CE appears to be a lucky escape for now.

I believe their last dates in passenger service were

5703 06.11.25
5872 07.11.25

Note that in general you can look these up on LRR, although I have noticed a couple of dates in early October that showed on RTT, but not on LRR, but I think that was just a glitch.

455872 and 455703 have reportedly been dumped into Alexandra Dock as Newport Docks hasn't (or can't) make space for them.

The scrap yard would not accept them. As for the reason why they wouldn't, I've heard several.

Glad to be of assistance. If you are after specific end dates, then it may help to do a cross check between LRR and RTT just in case there are any discrepancies. As I say, I have noticed that on one day, but it is more likely that any problem will be due to the data feed that both sites rely upon. One example being 13.10.25 which was the last in service dates for 5718 & 5860. However, there was severe service disruption that evening and many trains that did run had no formation reported so they may have worked later trains than that shown on LRR, or RTT for that matter.

Thanks, it's been amazing. Planned the whole day today on the back of this. I'm sure your post will help many. I found that yesterday 5701 5710 did 0624 Chessingtom Waterloo and expired before departure back. I saw these about 1530 in platform 2 yesterday, all quietand shut down. Now at Wimbledon and not out today.

I spotted one of the former 460 coaches (removed from a 458/5) in a scrapyard area alongside the Middlewich branch at the Sandbach end. I guess it's one of those which had been stored near Stoke.

I agree with you on 5727 but 5717 and 5712 remain a mystery. Lower level exams should have been completed by now. An aerial photo taken on 8/11 has appeared on another website showing 5727 alongside the maintenance shed at Bournemouth TMD, but no sign of 5712 or 5717.

They can fit 4x 455s (2 double sets) in the scrapyard without taking them off the rails , off the rails they have space for quite a few sets.

I agree with you on 5727 but 5717 and 5712 remain a mystery. Lower level exams should have been completed by now. An aerial photo taken on 8/11 has appeared on another website showing 5727 alongside the maintenance shed at Bournemouth TMD, but no sign of 5712 or 5717.

I had not realised that 5712 & 5717 had gone to Bournemouth, but sometimes I find it difficult to keep up, so an oversight on my part!

They can fit 4x 455s (2 double sets) in the scrapyard without taking them off the rails , off the rails they have space for quite a few sets.
