Class 730/2 (LNR) experiences and opinions

I guess it's a similar issue when the 730 announces that Wolverhampton has a short platform on Birmingham bound trains when all the platforms it can use can easily take a 5 coach 730 (I guess it defaults to the short bay platforms which can't be accessed from a Liverpool - Birmingham train).

That issue is meant to be resolved on the next software update as it would be a big mistake to path a 5 car 730 into a bay there so there is no need for that announcement

I‘ve had a couple of trips on the 730/2s now on the Northampton line. I find them very shaky even when sitting in the middle of a carriage. Lots of vibration and bouncing about. Not impressed!

Must be that route, certainly smoother and quieter ride than 350s on the Birmingham - Liverpool route.

Also, some units have received a software update which has removed some of the incorrect announcements and Liv South Parkway now is played!

I haven't experienced a 730 yet but my partners son commutes Northampton to Euston and he has mentioned that compared to the 350s they are very shaky.
Maybe something about the track that affects the 730s but not the 350s.

From the cab, the 730 is so much quieter and smoother. Guess I'll find out if it's track related on the WCML once we start working 10 cars next week!

They're a bit jittery like Electrostars but don't lurch over crossovers like 350s do. Swings and roundabouts. Better than CAF and Hitachi though!

Further issues with 1Y20 BHM-EUS this morning, cancelled between BHM and Northampton, then the second half of the train attached from the depot about 15 minutes after departure time.
Doors were released and many people boarded, only to be told 10 minutes later that it was faulty, all turfed off and instructed to get the following train from P2.
