Ah but it could have been the day that a single 6.2 ran from Belper to Derby about 18.30. Maybe some missing from Harlequin and V3 too. Time has come when many potential bus users don't expect the bus to come at all. Now on the Sixes, it would be correct to say that the road works at Five Lamps are playing a part.. The other day, three Mango spares were on the route. Trouble was four Sixes Versas were under repair,so some were bound to mix. Now before excuses start, you don't get the same issues with Notts and Derby.Another wonderful day for “The Really Good Bus Service”
A quick check on bustimes just now….
Swift - 3 buses instead of 5
Red Arrow - 8 coaches instead of 9 (despite having 10 coaches for 9 workings)
X38 - 4 buses instead of 5.
6.2 - No Service
There may be others missing too….
How long before the traffic commissioner gets involved?
The occasional bit of missed mileage is unavoidable (traffic/staff/breakdown), but the frequent and almost daily loss of service is just not good enough.
6.2 had no service for the whole day recently, for instance….
Thoughts?

Wonder if it will become 737s replacement on swiftI have heard this but we will see as unfortunately we have lost 735, not too sure where it's off to
The roadworks on the A38 are causing Chaos during rush hours with the X38 anywhere between 40 to 70 mins late, at one point last week one was nearly 2 hours lateAnother wonderful day for “The Really Good Bus Service”

Thought 735 might end up in Swift livery.I have heard this but we will see as unfortunately we have lost 735, not too sure where it's off to
It may seem they have 10 coaches for 9 workings but that spare coach is also used for flix too not just redarrow so u dk if it's on there instead of redarrow. Not saying it is or isn't but just somthing to point out.Another wonderful day for “The Really Good Bus Service”

I understand what you are saying, but 900 to 909 are in Red Arrow Livery (10 vehicles) and as you say 910 is the grey spare for flixbus, tho it has run occasionally on Red Arrow. It may seem they have 10 coaches for 9 workings but that spare coach is also used for flix too not just redarrow so u dk if it's on there instead of redarrow. With the fun on the A38 some of the X38's have been dropping back a trip so that may explain why there was only 4 tracking.Another wonderful day for “The Really Good Bus Service”

Which then causes problems on the villager and V3 as well with traffic avoiding the A38. At least there was someone doing something this morning when I went past. The roadworks on the A38 are causing Chaos during rush hours with the X38 anywhere between 40 to 70 mins late, at one point last week one was nearly 2 hours late
Maybe now just one bus on the 6.3, as one seemed to stop at Belper. Makes you wonder if many Derby routes make much profit.. But at least 780 got taken off Comet to work a Swift. To add to that only 1 bus on harlequin.
And continues to be no service on 6.2.
R.E. X38, as others have mentioned, trips were dropped due to running significantly late, e.g. 329 was sat in the Bus Station as it arrived in over 30 minutes late from its' previous trip. Also with red arrow, most likely thing is that they were all running, it's just the ticket machines are dreadful and don't like showing the tracking properly! You never know with the sixes, maybe the worn Versas will be swapped out at some point soon, as by improving the reliability of the sixes, more spares will be freed up to be able to help to operate the rest of the services! I can understand why harlequin had one bus down, really isn't an important route, as I never see many on it, especially as most of it follows the same route as V3, although serving a different terminus in Derby.Another wonderful day for “The Really Good Bus Service”

Might as well get Notts and Derby to run the Harlequin. Probably doesn't help it going from Gower Street, which is a bit out of the way. I'm sure I saw a broken down 493 in the garage last week, and I seriously doubt there are any other spare buses.R.E. Better still, remove harlequin entirely and increase the V3's frequency to half-hourly!Might as well get Notts and Derby to run the Harlequin. But is there enough demand to justify a V3 every half hour, all the way to Burton. Route often seems to be affected with issues on the A38.Better still, remove harlequin entirely and increase the V3's frequency to half-hourly!
Never know, if the service is provided maybe patronage would increase, or if all else fails, have one curtailing every hour in Heatherton, and one continuing hourly towards Burton. But is there enough demand to justify a V3 every half hour, all the way to Burton. I'm surprised this didn't happen during the mass cuts in 2022!Never know, if the service is provided maybe patronage would increase, or if all else fails, have one curtailing every hour in Heatherton, and one continuing hourly towards Burton.
Why would the Volvos move back to their old depots? They have no place there anymore. I'd assume 2026 would be the year we see a lot of them leaving the companyI genuinely forgot that the harlequin even existed same as the rushcliffe villager and the little sixes I hope Kinchbus get the new electric yutongs when 740 714 715 716 and 175 come back to Trent will they go back to the same depot as before example 740 was at Nottingham before it went to kinch and 714 715 716 and 175 were at langley mill
It suffered a catastrophic engine failure which would have cost more to repair than the value of the busI also don’t get why 704 was scrapped seeing as it only got repainted into mango 1 year ago it broke down a few times
Engine needed replacing, with 146 and 147 being painted into mango they didnt need 704 so decided not to replace the engineI also don’t get why 704 was scrapped seeing as it only got repainted into mango 1 year ago it broke down a few times
740 was an ESU spare so went to any depot it was needed. 175 was LM which is where itll likely return, 714 was notts and 715 and 716 was derby.. They got 174 which replaced 811, no doubt 780 will get replaced by 175, not to mention they would of lost 780 anyway when the inevitable movement of the two's b8s move to derby for the sixes so they'd likely have a bus lined up to replace it or a bus which has already replaced itLangley mill has had a couple buses taken 811 and 780 so it’s like lot 715 and 716 could go there
it could also allow for resources to be spread more rationally and possibly give Heatherton a service in both directions.Never know, if the service is provided maybe patronage would increase, or if all else fails, have one curtailing every hour in Heatherton, and one continuing hourly towards Burton.

Unless theres an onslaught of new buses coming soon i’d doubt that many of the b7rles are going anywhere yet - it sounds like n&d will benefit from at least some of the 14 plate versas when they’re displaced from sixes and ex threes versas seem to be destined for trainers. Although some of the more problematic b7rle routes are showing their age definitely, comet and swift don’t seem to hold up too well. I’m surprised the skylink express and X38 don’t suffer more with their types of mileageWhy would the Volvos move back to their old depots? They have no place there anymore. The my15 could definitely benefit new buses due to the versas being unreliable same as the nines and IndigoUnless theres an onslaught of new buses coming soon i’d doubt that many of the b7rles are going anywhere yet - it sounds like n&d will benefit from at least some of the 14 plate versas when they’re displaced from sixes and ex threes versas seem to be destined for trainers. Nines could probably do with an upgrade but i’m not sure where those 4pot E200s would suit either, maybe my15?
I often forget about the Harlequin too. Doesn't help that it's city centre terminus is some random back Street in an area of the city centre that I seldom visit. I have never seen a Harlequin bus in my life!I genuinely forgot that the harlequin even existed
