Restriction code 4W seems to be broken: it's just showing "Text here" https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ticket-types/validity/4w/



Does anyone remember what the actual restrictions are? I'm likely to travel on a ticket with this code quite some time in the future when I assume this page will have been fixed.

The short version is that it's valid for outward travel on Fridays and return on Saturday, Sunday or Monday of the same weekend. No time restrictions apply.

There's also a code 7W, which is valid for outward travel on Saturdays and return on Sunday or Monday of the same weekend, also with no time restrictions.

The National Rail website has a “contact us” section for raising issues such as their website.
Have you tried contacting them as owner of the website to see if they can correct it, benefitting more people than just forum members?

Yes, for example by GWR on certain routes and Southeastern on a lot of routes. Though their Weekender offerings are both different to each other in terms of time and date validity.

I looked it up because it is the restriction code for GA weekend returns (Friday departure) and I am considering buying one.

Tbh I assumed it would be fixed before I had a chance to contact them since it was definitely entirely fine last time I looked but I will do this now.

Yes. In this particular case, it's a Greater Anglia offer.

Relevant ticket types are WKF and WKG. For example: Liverpool Street to Cambridge

The "unpublished restrictions" on the brfares page say the outward is only valid on friday while the return is valid on saturday, sunday or monday. The ticket type restricts the return validity to "four days".
