Rare /Least Used Anne Announcements

So there are a lot of videos on YouTube that have old recordings from stations and in the videos Anne’s announcements can be heard in the background. Sometimes announcements are captured that I’ve not heard before or that I have heard but can’t find them.

Anyone know or have any rare/least used or defunct Anne announcements?

I have heard Annes GWR generic announcements that haven't been played in years.

"Weekend engineering works", "Stand back from the edge of the platform", "Please remain behind the yellow line until your train has come to a halt and allow passengers to alight before trying to board", "Please allow customers to leave the train first before boarding."

Also Greater Anglias smoking announcement "Passengers are reminded that smoking is prohibited at this station"

and "To assist staff in the safe an punctual dispatch of your train, please close doors and windows behind you, thank you."

I found a couple of old videos on youtube with some interesting ones.

On this video at Manchester Piccadilly from 09:10 to 09:24 you can hear her say an "Arriva Trans Pennine" service:

Not any particularly rare ones but this is her at Bromley South (04:42 to 05:04) in 2004:

Again not any particularly rare ones but this is her at Herne Hill (00:06 to 00:28 and 02:14 to 02:38) in 2004:

This one at Gatwick Airport from 2008 shows her at 02:05 to 02:13 announcing the old Horsham to Tunbridge Wells service:

She has been around since 1997 so she certainly has lots of interesting ones that used to be heard. Just a shame there are such few recordings from back then. I regret not recording announcements earlier but of course it was more difficult back then before the smartphone era.

She was installed at Luton Airport Parkway in 1997 (but then subsequently removed in 2003 before bringing her back in 2011).

She was installed at Southeastern station in the Greater London (eg, Bromley South, Herne Hill, Lewisham, Orpington, etc) in 2001/2002 (but then subsequently removed in 2004/2005 before bringing her back in 2012/2013).

She was installed at Gatwick Airport / Leeds / London Bridge / Manchester Piccadilly in 2001 (but then Gatwick Airport subsequently removed her in 2012 before bringing her back in 2018).

Probably her rarest ones are old TOC names. I can not find a recording but i remember hearing her announce "Connex" in her early days. She said both Connex South Central and Connex South Eastern as "Connex" on its own.

Interesting… earliest I’ve heard her on videos was 2003… I did hear on an announcement Wiki that she has been around since 1997, but I was sceptical to believe that as I thought all the announcement recordings were recorded in 2001/2002 in time for the Worldline system being installed at Network Rail stations in 2002.

When I was at Manchester Piccadilly when I was a toddler I did hear her mention a station name 3 times when saying the train was terminating at the station and to change at that station for stations beyond that station… I would like to hear that again as I thought that was funny

Wow very interesting archives and also amazing video of the Class 101 slam doors too.

Interesting there use to be a Horsham to Tunbridge Wells, I know there was discussion of Southern operating 1 train a day to Tunbridge.

Unfortunatly I have no luck either with Annes "Connex" as I have gone throgh adgenyer's archive video and found nothing as he mostly filmed at areas like Clapham Junction, Stratford, Wandsworth Road and London Bridge. I have heard Annes "Kings Cross Thameslink" on one of his videos mind you.

That video has also got me thinking about Anne’s re-records… I wonder why she has re-recorded stations etc… I wonder if the TOC has requested them etc.?

Makes me wonder how many ‘versions’ of Anne there are…

Thank you, I think some she re-recorded by TOC request or some the mis pronounced I know from her original recordings of St. Germans and Lostwithel she said 'St. Jer-manns' and 'Lostwiffle' also her original recordings were quite sharp and shouty I know GWR got her to re-record a fair bit of station names such as Cambridge, Stations to Manchester and Aberdeen, Filton Abbey Wood, Bath Spa, Luggage as well. She even re-recorded Denmark Hill, Lewisham, London Blackfriars, Brighton and stations between Gatwick Airport and East Croydon and London Victoria.

I do really like Anne’s announcements… however her SWR versions of the conjoiners I am not a big fan of…

One of the reasons I like Anne is because her announcements sound very natural and don’t sound automated, but her SWR versions do and you can tell they are automated.

Its better than SWR which made it even worse and unatural. All her announcements are automated. But some were re-recorded because she mispronounced some.

There some rare Anne announcement which you only hear at one station and not anywhere else such as Annes "ScotRail" at Carlisle with stopping services to Glasgow via Dumfries. "Reston" and "East Linton" is another with Anne only playing it at few stations one of them being Newcastle also Annes Northumberland line to "Ashington" only played at Newcastle.
